Sequels Do we really have that many villains left?

Hey, I'm just tryin' to help.
There's little out there that's worse than an illiterate internet forum argument.

I've said it once, I'll say it again....

Electro in Time Square.

You are welcome....

I would love to see Electro in SM-4, with the Lizard as the main villain.

I think Electro would be a cool "last villian" for 6 along with Carnage.

lizard and kraven should definitely be the villains for spidey 4. lizard just makes sense and kraven can hunt him down forcing peter to step in and save his friend. with those two characters in mind, i could see somebody like ridley scott or david fincher directing. at least that's what i'd like to see, anyway...

They cant bring Carnage too soon because if they do then that will have to be the last spider-man movie.Carnage is Spider man's worse and toughest villian. They should bring venom back and have lizard in it too.Maybe they should put Ben Reilly in the next movie too

:whatever:

I think SM3 was proof Venom cant work on the big screen, they ruined him. Since when does venom crack jokes?

Venom is a joke in the comics. If anyone ruined Venom, it was the comics for poor story-telling and Eddie Brock's character motif for damn-near 20 years.

You would have to go beyond the comics (and actually make him interesting) to do a character like Venom justice. Think Predator or Alien(s) when he has the symbiote on, if Venom isn't handled like this, it isn't going to work. Venom just wanting to kill Spider-Man and an Eddie Brock who blames his sh:tty life that he created on Peter/Spidey, is weak in any medium. If anything, I would say Raimi copied the comic books too much concerning the character, it's part of what makes Venom seem like a weak character. There's not much to work with, with such a popular...and overrated villian such as he.

They could have Mysterio be a guy who is a famous performer who chooses a audience member (Maxwell Dillon)who is a nice guy who is with his family for a fun night out to be part of his act.Mysterio could give him a costume that is similar to his (Electro costume). The act could go all wrong and Maxwell Dillon gets electrocuted by some electronic equipment that gets knocked over when spidey shows up when he chases a thug into the building Mysterio is performing in,and spidey ruins Mysterio's act,and Maxwell Dillon gets put into a 10 year comma from the accident.

When Maxwell wakes up,he is angry because he has had his whole life stolen from him.His wife got remarried(and had another kid),his own kid is calling someone else dad,his career that he had worked so hard to get is gone, etc.

Later on Maxwell is walking out of a liquor store and walks into an alley where a mugger tries to jump him.Maxwell finds out that when he is angry that he has the power of electricity, and Maxwell fries the mugger.

Maxwell now decides that with this new power, that he will kill spidey with it.In the movie Maxwell could still wear the Electro costume for a little while until he goes overboard with his power and disintegrates the costume off of his body(He wears the Electro costume to make spidey remember who he is,and what he did to him before he kills spidey).

And Mysterio lost all of his wealth when spidey ruined his act, because it revealed to the audience of how Mysterio pulled off the tricks. So Mysterio is stealing something from a museum with his gadgets when spidey shows up from the alarm that went off when Mysterio broke in.

Since no one will pay anymore to see Mysterio in his costume doing a show,Mysterio has flipped and wears his costume when he goes out and steals things so he can have the wealth that he has gotten acustom to.

Mysterio runs out of a emergency exit after fighting spidey in the museum for awhile, and when spidey is about to defeat Mysterio,Electro shows up(Electro heard the alarm, and figured spidey would show up there)and helps Mysterio kill spidey.

Venom has "cracking jokes" since his debut. I suggest reading the graphic novel, "The Birth of Venom".

Also;

IMO, I was pleased with Venom in SM3. I think they should have kept the scene with Eddie showing up at the Stacy's residence, and the original meeting of Sandman and Venom. Also, I think there were some Sandman scenes deleted as well. This is just my opinion so don't attack me for posting a thought. Perhaps a Spider-Man 3.1 will come out one day...but now I am going off-topic.

So, for the topic at hand; as I've said before I would love to see the Lizard as the primary villain and Electro as the secondary villain, I don't care much for Kraven but it's way to early to be sure of anything at this point in time.

The ones not used in any media yet are:

Hobgoblin
Electro
Carnage
Chameleon

If you notice it tends to be the villain which has not yet been put into any media yet is selected for the film. Just a thought.

i think electro would be cool, especially if they do it the same way mtv spiderman did, no offence but electro original costume was really dumb

hate to break it to some of ya, but i highly doubt they'll ever make a spider-man movie with carnage in it...

Carnage and Hobgoblin would work the best. Mostly Hobgoblin, however, seeing as how the "Goblin" lineage is a major factor in all of the Spider-Man movies so far. The problem with Carnage is, ironically, Venom. Venom was so hastily and poorly done in Spider-Man 3, I don't think he'll go over well with audiences.

Scorpion would also be really good. He's one of the few villains to ever defeat Spider-Man, and probably one of the first in comic book history to defeat a superhero in his debut. All the others that fit this category are powerhouses like Doomsday and Onslaught.

The part that makes Scorpion even more alluring to add to the franchise is that he inherits the Venom persona. I see the only reason they would kill off Eddie so shortly after he became Venom would be to allow someone else, like Scorpion, to take over his place.

The big problem with including characters like Kraven, Rhino, Shocker, Mysterio, and even Vulture (although to a smaller degree than the others) is that they are too over-the-top to be taken seriously. The only way they would work would be to work as henchmen to a more powerful villain. But let's look at the list of henchmen in previous films, shall we? Nuclear Man (aka Bizarro) was under Lex Luthor in Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Bane was under Poison Ivy in Batman & Robin, Bullseye was under the Kingpin in Daredevil, and the Russian was under John Saint in The Punisher. What's the common link between all of these? The portrayals are generally hated and featured in generally hated films. The only exception is really Bullseye, as Colin Ferrell's take on the character is quite often considered to be one of the high points of the movie.

Lizard/Kraven and Vulture/Electro

Both pairings would be naturally flowing character stories with their own respective life lessons: the former being commitment, the latter being humility.

My pick is for The Vulture and Electro in the next film. After seeing the single storyboard image in "The Spider-Man Chronicles: The Making of Spider-Man 3" of The Vulture with his long torn trench coat and wings made of found objects, I am totally 100% convinced that he would make an awesome cinematic enemy in a future Spider-Man installment. Electro is not my favorite, but I can see a storyline with him and Vulture working well. My personal favorites are The Vulture, Scorpion, and Hobgoblin (someone else I would love to see show up in a future installment). The way I see it, we have at least three more movies left, so there is a good chance I will see at least one of my favorites.

:hehe:

I don't see how Vulture and Electro could work together... at all.

Electro has an inferiority complex, Vulture has an obsession with gaining power and increasing his status. Max Dillon was virtually ignored all his life, while Adrian Toomes was kicked around and taken advantage of. They both hate themselves for being weak, and try to compensate by retreating into their alter-egos. Toomes uses the Vulture to steal the city's dignity (like it did to him), while Dillon uses Electro to make himself noticed and feel like a big man.

Pair these two villains together, and add a "Peter Parker No More" storyline for Peter and MJ, and the movie basically writes itself.
