No it's not. They didn't "cut" that part of the speech. The speech in the trailer is a different speech altogether.

How would it make any kind of sense at all for Wolverine to be pumping Iceman up, talking about how Scott and Xavier died, and if they did nothing, their dream would die with them, only for him to finish up with "Oh, by the way, this is a war. You might die. Maybe you might wanna reconsider"...

It was a different speech altogether. They decided the one they used worked better with the film. And it may have. Because it shows they are fighting for Xavier and... dun dun dun; Cyclops... people wanted a little recognition for Cyclops, at least the speech Wolverine gave shows that the X-Men are fighting in the name of Xavier and Cyclops, and that the X-Men won't have let them die in vain.

They also changed Magneto's speech in the forrest.
Come to think of it a lot of the angles that we saw in the clips, 7 minute preview and trailer weren't were altered for some reason.

I'm still hopeful we'll see an alternate with Jean's empty grave and an optic blast at Alkali and it sets up Sinister for the next trilogy as opposed to stupid Xavier which sets up nothing except his own unethical behavior.

Agree 100%, even about Xavier - I can't believe that after being such a prat he's the one who gets to 'live' in the end, and in a way that implies he's an even bigger prat.

It looks like every good part that we saw on trailers didn't make it on the final cut. Marketing strategies! So everyone has to buy the DVD. Even the ones who said it was not a good movie..they will be forced to buy it just to so they can see what they have missed and would convince them that it was a good movie.

Well Im one of those who were disappointed that there were no Phoenix effects in terms of flames... but she still creeped me out and I liked the Dark Phoenix effects, but flames could have been added... stupid time constraint...

1. Storm's tidal wave.

Now I think this was cut simply because it didn't look right on film, or there wasn't a good enough explanation as to how it happened. There's no good reason for cutting what would have been only a ten second clip in an action sequence. Some scenes are deleted for genuine reasons.

3. Rogue's mother.

Apparantly never shot.

4. The Wolverine speech to Iceman, Kitty, and Colossus.

Again, this was cut for a reason. In that speech before the finale, Iceman is worried, and Logan has to try and convince him to fight, where as in the version in the trailer, it sounds as though Logan was almost trying to deter Iceman from being overly ready to fight. Warning him of the dangers.

9. Ice Slide(Both Page and Ashmore confirmed that it was filmed).

I'm willing to bet this was cut due to budget/time constraints. The CGI would have been some heavy work.

10. Alternate endings and versions had been filmed according to Ashmore.(Hopefully there's a scene with Cyclops in the final battle. Although it's very unlikely obviously.)

I agree a lot was cut, but we need to recognise that some of it might have been cut for good reason. It didn't fit well, it didn't look good etc.

Yeah it looks like it though it is maniped from an an official still from FOX. I think Zak Penn said something about them not wanting the Bobby/Kitty thing to go thát far. Thats the reason it was cut, the scene that is.
