I love Psychedelic Rock and Roll. I just do. Use this thread to talk about psych groups from the 60's and beyond. Famous ones like The Beatles, The Byrds, Donovan and The Zombies as well as lesser known ones like Spirit, Tomorrow, The Smoke and Love . You can even speak about groups from later on who were influenced by the movement like Neutral Milk Hotel, Nirvana and Tool. Progressive groups like King Crimson and Jethro Tull are acceptable too (as the prog rock movement was partly spawned from the psych movement).

Sorry. Messed up the poll a little. It should say "rock?" at end.

My favourite song is a psychedelic one, so I guess I do.

I like a good bit of it but I HATE IRON BUTTERFLY

to me those songs just didn't flow right kinda like a crappy Frank Zappa song I heard the other day. (before you accuse me of hating on Zappa, understand that that one song really did suck :( )

Which song? (Or do you not remember?)

Heck yeah, I love pyschadelic rock. I'm probably the only Rolling Stones fan who enjoys Their Satanic Majesties Request.

My favorite pychedelia bands are probably The Doors, Jefferson Airplane and Pink Floyd. Also, The Beatles had some great pyschadelic material and even Zeppelin dabbled in it. Hendrix is up there, too.

I can't remember, it was on the radio and you know how bad the radio is on telling what they're playing.

I really liked some of it. In Another Land was pretty great. I felt it only suffered from lax production on a few tracks.

Ok well I kind of disagree with you on Iron Butterfly but to each his own.

I agree that some songs lack, but the album as a whole is qyuite good and IMO underrated. I remeber there was this one song, I forget what it's called, it was that really long one, kind of creeped me out. The album as a whole kind of creeped me out. My favorite track is probably "She's A Rainbow".

Nice to know other people like it.
