I do, at the moment.

For those of you not in the know, I work in a pub. And even thought this time of year sucks big time, we have certain issues. Namely the bosses "bit" on the side. We have no staff (well actually we do sorta but we need more!), I'm only a Team Leader but am, in all but name Assistant Manager. Not complaining about that but I still wear a uniform!

Anyways, why do you hate your job?

However, I failed to mention I do get paid more doing what I do and wearing a uniform.

I work in an ill-organized retail electronics store with a long history of bureaucracy.

I'm tired of working in the only sales department in the whole store that doesn't earn commission. I'm tired of having a supervisor who walks away for hours on end, and leaves me in charge. I'm tired of being a Management Trainee, when no one's actually telling me how to manage/supervise. I'm tired of every supervisor and manager in the store constantly moving our displays between the same 3 spots because none of them communicate with each other about how they want things to look.

I'm tired of us never selling products at prices as low as our competitors, but still having a "we match prices" policy that constantly has me calling competing stores for price confirmations, typing up quotes that I'm not allowed to approve because the store's management doesn't like how often supervisors and MTs are approving price-matches, constantly running to whichever manager is in charge to approve the price-matches, running back to customers who are angry that our price-matching policy takes 10 minutes to complete, and then getting frowned upon at the end of the week because my department didn't reach its projected sales goal due to too many price-matches.

And I hate not being able to enjoy my holidays like Thanksgiving because I have to be to work at 4am in the morning for the Day-After sale.

This threads always appear on just the right day.

I make pretty good money but I work with the most chauvinistic closed minded men,construction workers.
The talk of domestic abuse came up. The response from the "Shop Steward": "Don't write the check that your mouth can't cash". He tells me after I rant about the abuse towards women isn't taken serious and all he can say to me is "Someday you'll be happy,have a husband and kids" When did becoming a wife and mother equate the path to happiness? And why the **** are you assuming I'm not happy because I'm not these things. It's the 21st century,please join me.

Recently I got fired from my job, but I didn't mind since I would end up going home past 2AM and miss the transit. There has been a rapist running around very close to my area and I had no cash on me. I was so frustrated at how my boss was being such a jerk about it "you signed a contract" crap! THERE'S A FRIGGIN RAPIST in my area and I have the friggin right to get home safely I don't have 24hr buses in my area!! What an idiot
