I hate it when they killed likable characters. What's the point of preseting a cute, nice, lovable character if you are just gonna kill him off?

On that respect, here are some characters that shouldn't have died:

1-Becky from "Sin City". She was so nice and cute and lovable, that I was really sad when she died. But who knows, thanks to the non-linear timeline, she may come back in future sequels.

2-The Buffy Robot in "Buffy the vampire Slayer". As always, the only smart, cool characters in the entire series is killed. Hell fobid we introduce a characters that is smarter than the entire cast!

3-Newt in "Alien 3". Right there, they destroyed the possibility for a kickass Alien sequel concept (imagine an "Alien" movie where a grown-up Newt is all alone in a specw station, and has to battle a hive of ferocious Aliens...)

4-that kid who got smashed by a glass thingie on his way out of the dentist's office in "Final Destination 2". Once again, they killed the only likable character in the entire movie.

Pay It Forward had the most useless death I've ever seen. Everything was resolved, but hey, let's have some death for the sake of it. Horrible ending that made the movie horrible as a whole.

I don't like it when characters are killed for no reason, as if the writers think that will bring some kind of "thrill" to the movie. Like, "Hmm..I'm at a loss for this scene. I know, let's kill this person!"

Dumb.

She died in the book.

I like it, depending on how it´s handled... In X3, I actually felt the death of Xavier, the series made him a likable character... The death of Cyclops sucked, but I guess you can´t say he was a major character in the movie series anyway...

I didn't like when Jean died.

Why can she just control her Phoenix powers and use them for good, like in the comics?

Why is "Dark" Phoenix the only Phoenix?

And why the hell didn't Wolverine want to have sex with her? That was SO OPut of character.

It Depends on the death. Usually if it's well thought out, contributes to the plot, and has emotional impact I like it. But if they just randomly kill off someone just for kicks. THEN it angers me

same here.

And I've never read the damn comic book anyway.

Your problem not theirs, it happened like in the book (though the circumstances of her death were changed for the movie) you really cant ask for more than that. Her character is pretty useless too.

I don't like when characters die without realizing their full potential.

Otherwise, I'm cool

Sometimes but mostly no! In the case of a recent death...

Here's what i REALLY don't understand. W/the X-Men movies I feel like they kill off more heroes than villians..."okay, wait a second...NO."

I was wondering why the hell he didn't just cure her. They wasted 4 needles on Magneto. Could've saved at least one and used it on her. She wouldn't be a mutant but at least she'd be alive.

Apparently 4 wasnt enough.

I mean, am I supposed to think, "yeah, that makes it more dramatic when only heroes die...?"

They Live is a good example of this done right

and killing Emilio Esteves is Mission: Impossible left me in tears

Then its too bad Xavier isnt dead. And its really easy to say Cyclops never actually died. No body = no death.
