With Elfman, we can capture the feel of the movie quite instantaneously, and get a heck of an atmosphere! The Returns one is just beautiful, very absorbing, when I listen to it, I can relax or really take care to LISTEN to music, not just HEAR... That's a good point about Elfman, you actually CARE for his music. Others can have credits at some points, but concerning Danny Elfman's music : nobody does it better

I thought that was James Bond (i.e. nobody does it better). ;)

i always think of that tribute to Q when i hear that song. anyone know what im talking about?they had it on the VHS of world is not enough.

and totally agree with you about elfman Nygma, his music is so amazing. btw,k what would your favorite track be on Returns/B89?

k what would your favorite track be on Returns/B89?
that's a hard one, really.
For the B89, I'd pick "Up The Cathedral" or "Charge of the batmobile" for their incredible power crescendo and feeling.
"Selina Transforms" is now one of my favorite of returns, vers poignant and dramatic, noticeably tragic. But I think that "Batman Vs The Circus" or "The Rise and Fall of Grace" translate very well the atmosphere of the movie. Grotesque in its darkness.

For the record, I prefer the theme in Returns than in B89. The last one has been overplayed, and the first one flows more mythical, complete.

EDIT : I definately can not chose a favorite track...that's weird...make "Up The Cathedal" my favorite then!

EDIT : Since the thread is named do you own B&R, I'll also add my fav track on B&R, the Smashing Pumpkins one. Nuff said, this almost give me the taste to keep my B&R copy...but no, I'm not THAT masochist, haha!

Who are the thirteen who actually liked the film?! *shakes head in disbelief* Clearly Schumacher has people working for him on SHH.

Perhaps they were sarcastic in order to put such interrogation and disbelief to this thread...or they are below 11 years old

I wanted Batman & Robin to be a whole movie about these guys....

And I was very unimpressed when we got these guys (and not even the same Robin costume)...

This is just me, but I actually preferred the Clooney/O'donnel team over the Kilmer/O'donnel team.

I also liked the suits better for B&R.

I watch it on Friday nights with a group of friends...it's a good time....good laughs...a very nice re-make of the Adam West episodes.
Good Job Joel and Co.

I'd give you folks a gold star if i could...

I just bought Batman & Robin since I bought all the special edition dvd's of all the Batman movies

You were probably drunk, how could you watch tthis horrible thing without getting a headache in the first 15 minutes? lol:cwink:

I used to like it, but then I saw it on tv recently and saw everything that made this movie wrong. One of my biggest gripes is that Poison Ivy has no real motive or goal in the only movie she stars in. I will never buy this movie, ever.

I own it and actually likes it. It is indeed a bad movie and a shame for the Batman franchise but it has it's moments and well...I got a hell of a fun watching it with friends and laughed a lot. Not like Elektra, a movie that is a boredom of shame...nothing good at ALL in that...

Is this an old thread? I swore I already voted on this damn thing. Got mine with the Anthology and the first DVD box set.

Yeah I made this thread a while back. Must've been bumped up.

Oh, and I don't own this movie. Just Batman, Batman Returns, and Batman Begins.

Tint the red on the Robin costume blue, and you've got Nightwing. Not sure why he tried to jump the gun like that.

Plus, they ruined Bane. And Uma Thurman is a terrible, terrible actress (and not as pretty as people claim).
I could see Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, but only if the role was taken seriously, which it obviously wasn't.

Don't get me started on "Barbara Wilson". Sigh.

However.
I've been tempted to pick it up, simply because part of me knows there's Batman live-action, um, action out there that I can't watch on a whim.
I've got this whole "It's crap, but it's better than nothing" thing when it comes to seeing material adapted for cinema.

Meh. Maybe.
We'll see what they do w/ this big DVD re-release coming up. I'm tired of having the prior 3 Bat-films in their single-disc featureless formats.

"a very nice re-make of the Adam West episodes."
That's close. It's more like Adam West + Tim Burton = Batman & Robin.

Has Family Guy taught you nothing?

I agree totally with your statement, I dont find her attractive at all whatsoever in that film, she lookd weird, not sexy as hell like Pfieffer as Catwoman or Kidman as Dr. Chase Meridian.
