Rofl, while i agree in principle to the argument of no maniacal, colorful villain running amok in gotham, where do u get the NJ thing from?? Just cause the slums in BB look like jersey doesnt make it jersey...haha j/k i love jersey even though im a bostonian. I thought gotham was supposedly set in a fictitious city called gotham

According to the New Adventures of Superboy Gotham and metropolis are on oposit sides of the Delaware Bay, with Gotham City in New Jersey and Metropolis in Delaware.

There seemed to be liscense plate in "Batman: Shadow of the Bat" that said Gotham was in New Jersey.

Rhode Island was the basis of another map of Gotham City in Swamp Thing vol. 2, #53.

According to Nightwing it takes forty minutes by plane and six hours by train to get from New York to Gotham.

In TDK the License plates of the cars registered in Gotham strongly resemble that of Illinois but they say Gotham for the state.

Maybe they could have a scene where some tourists mistake Batman for The Jersey Devil.

Look at the geography section on Gotham's wikipedia article for more infomation.

I myself have always thought Of Gotham being more northern to allow for longer nights for Batman to do his work.

Well, of course Gotham is supposed to be some sort of emulation of NYC or Chicago (preferably due to the high corruptibility of its politicians)...but these films arent the new adventures of superboy, or nightwing, or whathaveyou, im not insulting you im just saying theres no logical connection there:yay:

hahaha yeah i never intended to bicker over the location of gotham btw

no killer croc, no man bat, no clayface..... atleast not in the third one.... anyother is welcome:-)

Dead Shot (or whatever his name is)
Bane

basically any assassin that is easy to bring into the realistic world, the interesting Nolan villains are the ones who were made to be campy. The transformation into a "real world setting" is interesting to see unfold.

just cause they translate easily doesnt mean they are poor choices. its all about the story and the depth of the characters. a simple assassin probably couldnt hold a 3 hour movie alone, but could make a great secondary villian. i say either bring in deathstroke, introduce dick greyson, of course things happen to make them hate each other. that way, should we ever see a titans movie, that rivalry is already somewhat established.....OR, use assassin David Cain. maybe even feature him looking for someone to carry his child. he finds a set of sisters fighting in a karate tournement, he can tell that the younger girl is holding back. so he kills the older sister to drive out the full potential of the younger. then tells her more or less "have my baby or i break your neck with my bare hands".. anyway im just spitballin. these ideas may be garbage...BUT I DONT SEE YOU COMING UP WITH ANYTHING BETTER...SO DONT JUDGE ME!:cmad::cmad:

Deathstroke should be in a Titans movie. Deadshot is similar and easier to do, especially since Deathstroke has that Captain America like background of super serum.

i could accept that...personally i like david cain most of all of them, namely because of my infatuation with cass. david and bats have a good history that can be explored. i would love to see this line on film
David: so have you come to arrest me for those 6 gotham PD officers i killed last month?
batman: no, im here to make you wish i had

i say save deadshot for the suicide squad movie.

ManBat... All the others seem like they would work in Nolans Batman world...

No Mr. Freeze, Man-Bat, Clayface, Ragdoll, or Firefly

Added: And no Talia

cant believe so many people want catwoman..such a boring character

Not if you are interested in women.

Boring? she's only character I can see matching Batman/Bruce in every way.
Others don't come close well maybe Talia but Catwoman/Selina does, if that makes sense.

lmao
true

But seriously she is not boring in the slightest. Most of the Main Rouge gallery (even the lame effing Riddler) are boring imo

The Rogues Gallery is- arguably- what has made Batman so popular... Because of their diversity and depth, and the fact that there is not a single other superhero in comics today that has the same strength in his/her villains- not even Spider-Man.

This is so true, even those with basic knowledge of the character can still rattle off maybe half a dozen villains in the gallery of rogues, there's daylight between Batman and second place.
