Do you plan to leave the hype?

The site is very large, and a lot of people are segregated. Those who are new are treated differently from more "famous" posters. I don't have days and hours to spend every waking moment in the RPGs or posting, so most people don't really know me I guess. So, for that reason I don't really feel as close of a connection to anyone here. Though I do enjoy the topics and discussing things with people.
It's a wonderful site in that, we have so many people, there is always someone to talk to. And many people here are very intelligent like that warhammer guy, he's pretty smart. I thought Dog Lips was pretty clever in his jokes in stuff. And obviously there are others, but I will probablly leave when my plans come into fruitition.

There are "'famous' posters"?

I don't plan on leaving, though you never know...maybe the staff will get bored and say "Hey, why don't we ban every user whose name begins with a T?" just for kicks and giggles.

Well every so often people who are here like all the time tend to make threads about each other. They have like popularity contests guised under friendly threads. I mean it's not like it's a bad thing per se, but I was once naive to think that it was just everyone being cool with everyone else and I would try to post in said threads or talk to people and I was kind of ignored.

And people that are here a lot also tend to talk down to posters that either arent or were not here as long. I think the term "n00b" is dead. Like you can be "new" or a "newbie" but to be treated like you dont know what the internet is because you haven't wasted your life on one forum is wrong, I think.

Basically, post like all the time and I'm sure you'd find out what I mean.

I've been with the hype since it was just Spider-Man hype. So, I don't really see me going anywhere anytime soon.

When I get banned. :ninja:
Who wants to push my button? :o

This reminds me of the other day when JAL thought he was IP banned from the Hype. He started AIMing with Super Kal and was threatening suicide because the Hype was "all I have".

Get that? The hype was ALL HE HAD. That's it. No family worth living for, no friends, pet, hell...even a favorite tv show worth living for. Just the Hype.
If I may paraphrase a line from the wonderful world of the DCAU:

That'd be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

Oh, what the heck. I'll laugh anyway. :lmao:

Hamill's Joker > all other incarnations.

i have no plans to but if i do i will fade away rather than make a deal out of it

Look at my join date. Then look at my post count.

I spend more time away from the Hype than actually on it. I haunt this place for news and talk about certain upcoming films, but rarely jump in on discussion (I dish out meta at other, smaller places). I originally joined just to get the skinny on X2.

So as long as new comicbook films are coming out, the Hype will be a source I return to. But it doesn't have to be all-or-nothing.

I thought Monster House sucked. Also, I eat baby kittens for breakfast. :cmad:

Sam Adams must have a high alcohol content, do you think?
Maybe it was drinking before eating, no matter I'm feeling no pain. Loving this buzz. I  Rob Zombie.

Oh, Monster House rocked hard, especially in 3D.
Did you put some ketchup on it, everything taste great with ketchup on it?

I have to get at least 3000 posts before I even consider leaving the hype.

I never even saw it. Just wanted to see the reaction.

If I ever went away, I'd probably do the same.

leave? hell no...i'm to addicted to leave and no other forums come close to the hype:csad:

plus who's gonna take over as the hype's dr if i go:huh:

hopefuully not until its time to bury me

Does anyone have a set age to leave the hype? For instance, I'm turning 18 in April and I started wondering how long will I stay here? Will the younger crowd eventually take over the hype? Will some of the noobs here eventually become mods? Does anyone have a set age or time when they will leave the hype?

we do have some users in the 60's, 50's, 40's and 30's. :oldrazz:
