Both. And they integrated it into the show. Genius, yet a tad disturbing. I remember when it happened.

it's only right . . . I mean, why lie to those little kids who'll grow up one day and be like "sesame street LIED to us!!" plus it hits a real issue w/ the children . . .
 
Not really. I do recall when Jim Henson died, very sad :csad:
 
I like having that very cute caricature of him hanging on the wall of the store more than actually having him there.
He was not easy on the eyes.
 
I remember Mr. Hooper's death. watching the adults explain it to Big Bird was heartbreaking.
