Cigarettes being "disgusting" is entirely down to opinion.

Then causing health risks is not down to opinion, that's fact.

But then there are many things that cause risks to your health that aren't considered "disgusting". Drinking alcohol isn't "disgusting" is it? Driving a car isn't "disgusting" is it? Playing Football isn't "disgusting" is it? Eating too many pies isn't "disgusting" is it?

Not only do I smoke, when drinking with friends, I tend to peer-pressure friends of mine into smoking along with me.

Lately though I've been contemplating quitting smoking for health reasons.

I'll probably still peer-pressure people into smoking even if I quit though.

Nahh I tried 1 back in my freshman year and didn't think twice about having another. It's such a cliche but a couple years later after grad s**t happened and I picked it up hahah.

Bummer dude, I started in europe, so at least it felt great and part of a whole new world. Several years later, it doesn't feel as sexy sucking down cigarettes during a stressed out day at work.

You know, that's actually one thing that bugs me about potheads. We should be on the same team. I generally don't like the smell of pot, it just smells gross to me, almost like formaldehyde. But I understand that I'm sure it smells wonderful to people that like smoking pot regularly (I smoke on occasion). And to me, a regular smoker, tobacco smells great, and I can understand that it might smell like **** to others. My roommate is a pothead, and even though I'm paying for the large majority of our apartment, I let him do what he wants, including smoking pot in the apartment whenever. But if I smoke a cigarette, he gets all whiny and b**chy about the smell of the cigarette smoke. F**k that. If I told him to go on the balcony every time he wanted to smoke pot I'm sure he'd moan about that too.

Sure, but of all the potheads I've been friends with (probably at least 100 by now), he's no different than 90% of them. As a regular smoker, I always thought I could count on pot smokers to at least be on the same team, but nope. Almost every exclusively pot smoking pal I've had looks down on smokers and acts like it's some giant faux pas to light up a cigarette. That's part of the reason I didn't vote to legalize pot. I honestly think pot should be legal, but potheads are just as *****ebaggy towards cigarette smokers as anyone else, so, yeah, screw you guys.

Hi. I'm living proof that the claims of second hand smoke being dangerous are so overblown that it's not even funny. Sure, it has some health risks, but it's not inherently more dangerous than anything else you breathe in on a regular basis. Maybe people should just admit that they don't like it and get on with their lives.

That's why I specified the exclusively pot smoking friends. People that smoke only pot are the ones that get all high and mighty over cigarette smokers, annoyingly so. "Yeah but when you smoke the apartment reeks for at least two more days than when I smoke pot!" "Yeah, but what you're smoking is technically illegal right now and every time you smoke you're an annoying ******* to anyone that isn't smoking, so shut the f**k up and quit being a *****ebag." I'm I'm someone that would VEHEMENTLY be pro-pot if my pot smoking brothers would show the least bit of comraderie towards me.
