Alright, at first hand this sounds fairly awkward but hear me out.
If at one point in the future, scientists were able to sucessfully able to grow flesh/meat of animals independant from the animals, themselves, it would mean that feasibly, no more animals would have to be slaughtered for meat. If the meat can be grown independant of a living sentient mind, then there are no more animals that need to be killed or at least you can have a choice of where your food comes from.
If this became mainstream (and just for argument's sake it does), would this persuade more vegetarians to come back to eating meat?
or would this just push them further away from the idea?
if the meat doesn't come from a sentient being that needs to be killed in order for it to be consumed, i don't see the argument (unless it comes down to simply taste).
if there are any vegetarians out there reading this (ie Siren and the Dynster) your opinions will be the most valuable here but all are welcome to participate.
