Sorry but after having veiled insults spit at me for most of the past pages of this post just for having the NERVE to say a mere fact that SR is still in the red due to its costs and lackluster BO take I am a bit punchy.

Nah...I was referring to wesyeed (to me, he's the guy with the kid facination...or just, the kid)...and the comment was in reference to his "being a mod" comments.

That too...everyone on here is a kid compared to me...except for one other guy and his name escapes me at the moment...must be my old age showing.

You sound more like someone who has a serious chip on his shoulder and thus must lash out at anything that's percieved as an insult. Try to look at life less seriously....try to have fun.

As for your talk down to me people on this site do that all the time especialy if you have the nerve to say SR was so so or worse if you do not like Singer's directorial style wow holy veiled insults start flying and well I get sick of them.

I am fairly old myself but that doesn't mean I like to be insulted and I tend to respond to insults with insults back I am weird that way always have been.
The major difference is I do not go with veiled insults I tend to just stick to straight foward insults.
Also I really do not care what other posters on an internet message board think of me I am weird that way as well.

Again, it was advice. You don't have to take it. You want to act immature, then do so but don't complain about it. You also keep trying to bring up your age so obviously you're trying to come across with some kind of maturity which doesn't translate well in your posting.

Uhh.. Regardless of how good the film was going to be (which according to most reviews it is quite good) it was obvious SR wouldn't do big at the BO. The world has forgotten Superman, I've said this since they've been trying to get a new Supes movies off the ground.

Who knows? Maybe one day people will finally come around and realize what we already know about the most important character to ever grace a comic book. Man, it's really weird when Clark Kent is the social pariah and Peter Parker is the popular kid in school.

You're probably right. I've looked at films differently after viewing them months or years down the road. I didn't appreciate most of the humor in Ghostbusters until I was in my teens because as a child most of the jokes go over your head. Now it's one of my all time favorites and I love quoting it when I get the chance. I also think that if the sequel to SR takes the precepts laid out in a good direction, it'll lend more credence to the decisions Singer and the writers made on SR. Then again, who knows?

Well thats one thing that will surely happen IMO, after the initial anger/bad response dies down, some people who didnt like it will re-watch this movie and realise that they actually like it, of course there will be an equal number who will still not like it but, this happens.

Hey it's not impossible. I re-watched Quest for Peace and thought it was pretty darn good.

But the truth is that people in time won't know where to place Returns next to the previous supes films because it's a wacky continuity. We can't easily overlook that no matter what our agenda is. I predict that years from now, maybe a decade, nobody'll really know what to do with Returns. It's not quite a sequel, not quite a restart, it tries to be all of them at once in a way. I know what it is. It's an expensive fan film. hmm... maybe that's how it'll be viewed down the line.
