Superman Returns Because of the negativity, what if Singer didn't return for a sequel?

If Singer didn't come back for a sequel and wanted to do other projects, who would be his replacement? Would Brett Ratner come aboard? I mean X3's story was weak but it's action was terrific... would this bode well with Superman sequel? A decent/solid plot but with a lot of action?

Again Singer is not in control, WB is.

Personally, I want J.J. Abrams back to write a new script which would make it a sequel to Returns but more action more Superman... It seems like what JJ and Ratner were trying to do was make it more like The American Way Superman type.. their script felt like the Real Man of Steel.

If they brought back Brandon Routh, maybe a new Perry White, brightened the colors of the suit a little, got a new Lois Lane (brought in Lana Lang)... had super villains + Luthor... the sequel would FLY.

Kate Bosworth was too bland for me... Singer's direction was too slow... Perry was too soft/dull nothing like the one I loved from STM

I agree while your at it get rid of Routh to he sucked in the role!
Just change the entire thing, and re-start the series after a good number of years helps us erase the memory of this movie!

replave singer, his direction was great, visuals were crisp, and all casting except bosworth was great..... the story needs some sprucing up, but you know what so did X1's story, and x2 was great IMO, Singer set the foundation, let him take it to the next step

I hope Singer doesn't come near another Superman film, I hate his guts and his little lackey's. Singer should just go direct the Wolverine film and stay away from the Man of Steel. That bastard.

You don't want to hear it, but there are two huge possibilities here. First, it's VERY likely the next time you will see Routh as Superman on the big screen again will be in the World's Finest movie, after the Begins sequel.

And the second, and your really going to hate this, and blow it off as well, but it's a real possibility, that the next Superman flick, which could be on the big screen OR a made for tv movie, might just feature Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum if you catch my drift. It's became a REAL POSSIBILITY.

More emphasis on pa kent's words of wisdom than jor el's.

More lively atmsophere. I'm not much of a fan of raimi's spidey but I can't say they aren't ALIVE!! They're full of energy and fun like the original superman films. it should come full circle. after raimi based his films somewhat on donner's superman, you should try aiming for the more lively atmosphere in raimi's films. Enough with the blank stares from onlookers. it gets old real fast... don't be afraid to be silly with such a silly character next time... spidey always has its tounge firmly in cheek in his films (except he hardly quips, I KID YOU NOT). there are ways to make a story good but maintain that fun spirit. Like this.
