Those must be some amusing pub conversations.

Now the question remains...if there were to be a crossover, which Doctor would be used out of the 10?

Doctor Who is licenced by Marvel. Marvel does the Dr. Who comic, so he's crossed over with Marvel Characters, mainly Deaths Head, but no DC.

I think the Doctor's been pretty much limited to Marvel UK stuff, unfortunately. It would've been nice to see him cross over into some of the American Marvel stuff.

Yeah, as Corps said - The good Doctor was mainly limited to Marvel UK.

Edit: That being said - I've just unearthed this cover for Marvel Premiere (us editon):-

I repeat "Doctor WHO is LICENCED by Marvel."
MARVEL has the LICENCE to do a Doctor Who comic.
They do not own the character.

the good Doctor got name dropped in one of the FF issues when they got kicked out of the Baxter building and were living in the warehouse. Johnny and Ben were sent to get an item from out of storage and were talking about the strange English doctor who gave Reed a storage device that was bigger on the inside than the outside. :doom:

Heh, sweet. Sounds like a TARDIS without all the cool parts. ;)

does anyone know what issue this happened in (just out of curiosity)

nice   I'm always a sucker for vague references. Too bad they didn't mention whether or not the "english doctor" had big hair or a long scarf...;)

Hey, I like your avatar :p

Erm, I think Marvel lost the rights to the doctor, because the comic strip is now published in 'doctor who magazine'. It'd be great if he became a permanent background character of the Marvel Universe again though.

I like yours as well :p

At least yours has got Tom Baker's mad genius smile. :D

having the Doctor would make the marvel universe even more unique than it already is, but also brighter. :)

and he might even put Reed Richards in his place at times, intellectually speaking that is...;)

It'd be so funky, he could be a character like....
okay, I cant think of a good example, but you're right! He could fit really well into the F4 books (He's a time travelling alien- it's perfect! :D) and as to the question of what he would look like, I think it would only add to the mystery of the character, for people who havent seen the TV series, if he looked like a different incarnation every time.

that'd be cool. :D And in their first "meeting," it'd be with the Fourth (because that's a given ;)) but he would already know them, because he would originally "meet" the F4 when they meet the 1st doctor in a scrambled order in the Marvel Universe's future, (because of the whole time travel thing,) but I think I'm confusing myself right now...:O

and the geek in me wants to see Doctor Doom torture and find a way to control either a Dalek or a Cyberman. :O

it sounds cool but i wouldn't mind if he show up in either a green lantern or batman crossover
i think it would be cool if Batman was able to pick the lock of the tardis

lol! It'd be great to see Reed Richards confused for once if the doctor told them he'd already met them..in the future...when he was younger....*mind explodes*

And a sort of doom bots team up with cybermen would be awesome....

And OA Blaster asked if the Flash is faster than the Tardis? Well...Tardis travel within a few thousand miles is almost instantaneous so ..Im guessing he isnt :p

well now i and learning is half the battle (insert GIJOE music)

Well, the Flash needs to build up kinetic energy on the cosmic treadmill, while the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space, for those that don't know) makes that "whoosh" engine noise, and disappears and then reappears elsewhere, with the time travelling. the Doctor could arrive anywhere instantaneously as Mrs. Richards pointed out, so the TARDIS is faster on both planes of travel.

as for the Daleks...I'd love to see Superman try to reason with them when he originally meets them, and they'd still simply reply "EXTERMINATE!" and try to blast him, and those around him...Batman would be toast against one of them, sadly to say...

OA blaster said:

Well, Batman's human and even he couldn't outrun the blasters of the Daleks for long...especially if there are more than one of them around. They can fly, exist in space, they have both blasters and sucker devices, and they have forcefields.

As the 9th Doctor said in the episode with the Dalek: "Closest city? Population? All dead. It won't stop, Van Statton, it won't ever stop!"

Batman's got a grappling hook, detective devices, small explosives, and a communicator in his helmet. Not much of an arsenal against the "cleansers" of the galaxy.

i don't doubt he could be over run with daleks but he could blind them with a batarang use the blinded daleks ray guns to blast the others
BATMAN will find a way

EVEN darkseid would have a problem against Daleks and he was beaten by BATMAN
