Does anyone here want a Live Action Teen Titans film?

It just makes so much sense. These characters are actually well known among the general audience. People underestimate how popular the two animated shows are. Why waste all that on a pointless live action show.

The animated Teen Titans films are encouraging signs that the Titans are going on the big screen. The Justice League has to be established first in the DCEU.

The young heroes of the DCU aka Teen Titans are an incredibly popular brand/franchise!

3 animated series under their belt (Teen Titans, Young Justice, Teen Titans: Go), 3 animated movies (Trouble in Tokyo, JL vs TT, The Judas Contract), and 2 video games (Battle Blitz, Legacy) plus appearances in the Injustice series as playable characters (Cyborg, Nightwing, Raven, Blue Beetle, Supergirl so far). Multiple comicbook series! All that's missing is a live action interpretation (show or movie).

Also from what you guys have read of said comics: Would Teen Titans: Rebirth also be a good source of inspiration for a Teen titans movie to pull from?

The recent Spiderman trailer really emphasized the young hero angle, and the "trying to prove yourself to more established heroes" deal. Would really like to see that in the DCEU some day.

For me, seeing that Spider-Man trailer made me not want a Teen Titans film. Teenagers are so annoying, especially nowadays.

Which would be palpable for a movie about the Gen 1 Teen Titans or a Young Justice movie more so than if we got one influenced/inspired by Wolfman and Perez's Teen Titans

Who do people think would be the best director and what do people think would be the best tone for the movies?

Hmm....I'm tossing around the idea of Matthew Vaughn as an ideal director choice but in terms of tone, I'd personally like something akin to the NTT run's tone where humor is definitely there thanks to characters like Beast Boy BUT it's generally mature and goes into darker territory....especially if Deathstroke is gonna be around or the Starfire/Blackfire dynamic ever gets explored.

95% of teenagers will always be annoying.

The easy/best remedy is getting someone that understands the characters enough to make a modern film without trying to be meta about the fact that they're teens.

For me a big question mark I have is what line-up do they go with? A Titans one? A Young Justice one? A NTT one? Or a mix-match of all the above? Also how will people react to the "sidekicks" if they're even included? I think DC's most popular Teen heroes/Young adults are :

Nightwing
Kid Flash
Arsenal
Batgirl
Supergirl
Robin
Superboy
Wonder Girl
Miss Martian
Aqualad

Cyborg
Raven
Beast Boy
Starfire
Blue Beetle
Static
Bumblebee
Terra

The former list would fall under the "sidekicks" banner because they have a connection to a League member who must come first in order for them to exist. The latter list is made up of independent heroes who have no connection to a League member thus they don't require introducing another character for them to exist. I wonder which of those characters above will make up the roster!

The NTT is the gold standard and they should take the most from that, but the Titans have a great history. They should take the best from every era, and not just one. They could even take from the characters individual comics too.

That's true. A mix and match would be ideal for me. I'm personally pulling for Raven and Blue Beetle! They're my favorite Titans.

Raven has to be there IMO. Her story and arc are one of the best and biggest TT stories, regarding Trigon.

She's also the most popular female Titan from what I've seen. So I guess she's a guarantee. Blue Beetle isn't though so I'm going to be crossing my fingers for him.

And with Cyborg presumably out of the equation in the DCEU, would it be a good idea to include Troia or Kid Flash?

Like for a first movie, I'm mulling over the idea of story that uses the main plots from the Season 5 episode "GO!" as flashbacks while also borrowing story elements from NTT Vol 1 as a way of showing how the team got established and set up them meeting Starfire and her rivalry with her sister Blackfire.

So for me, I'd largely make mine derived from NTT and 2003 cartoon depending on whether or not I want the film to be set where they come together as a team in a linear origin story or not.

Well Troia is pretty much never used in Titans media outside the comics. Bumblebee has gotten more exposure as a Titan than her. Kid Flash doesn't make sense to me when Barry is already so young. I also wouldn't expect Red Arrow/Arsenal since Green Arrow hasn't even been introduced. Aqualad is a maybe but I'd say we'd get Kaldur instead of Garth since Black Manta is going to be the villain of the Aquaman movie.

Nightwing is a guarantee though.

I wish you were right, but we could possible get Damian. Even in the comics and animated movies, they are giving him a sort of rivalry with Slade.

Oh that's true. Plus Batman has been active for 20 years in the DCEU so him having a child who becomes Robin isn't so far fetched. I guess the line up is anybodies guess

Though if the rumors of the Al Ghuls being ignored in the DCEU are true then that might just potentially take Damien out of the question.

Random post here, but this is a cool picture of all the villains (copy and paste into google so you can see full-size)

I love pictures like that, where all of a heroes villains are together. Here are others that I like, unrelated to TT.

They are cool pictures IMO.

So What do you guys prefer in terms of the Titans' ages should it be done like NTT where Dick Grayson, Kori and Troia are College aged (late Teens - early adulthood) while Beast Boy, Terra etc are 15-16 years old or should they all be 15-16 like in the cartoon?

All of those look awesome

So if I was doing this film, I think I would have the starting lineup simply be:

1. Dick Grayson

2. Troia

3. Beast Boy

4. Starfire

5. Raven

6. Impulse
