Does anyone know whats going on with Squadron Supreme?

Do it, man. Kevin Maguire drew it, too.

I'd recommend Formerly Known as the Justice League and I Can't Believe It's Not the Justice League as well, since I think those are even better than the Defenders mini, but you probably wouldn't be into it. They're pretty steeped in the lore of Giffen and DeMatteis' JLA run.

In the recent Defenders mini by Giffen, Uma pretty much ****s the Hulk senseless.

The best part was when he went back to being Banner and Uma couldn't get him to re-Hulk no matter what she did. Torturing him and beating him and threatening his loved ones and **** and Bruce is just like "Naw y'all I just can't get angry, the ***** was just that good."

I've actually a lot of old Giffen written JLI issues. I love them.

Well, then, you should pick those two trades up, too. Monstrously funny.

I just ordered them. Hopefully they'll get here early next week, and I can put up a review in the B/T thread.

I did. The Defenders mini, I snagged in single issues, though.

I'm excited, actually. I haven't anything by DeMatteis in a while and I've always enjoyed his work.

Yeah, he's great. I'm thinking I might buy some trades of his Spider-Man work, myself. I've wanted to reread his stuff with Vermin and Dr. Kafka for a while. Those were my absolute favorite Spider-Man stories as a kid.

I remember liking them, too. Unfortunately I don't have, and haven't had, those issues in quite some time as I'd love to go back and reread them. We had a fire when I was a younger, and the comics didn't survive.

That's heartbreaking. Vartha lost a bunch of comics in a flood. Natural disasters + comics = suckage. :(

Indeed, they do. They're among the things you'd think you'd grab first. Once you're in a situation like that though, logic kicks in and other things become more of a priority. But that's what the back issue bins are for, right?

I guess. The only major natural disaster to hit my house was Hurricane Andrew, and that barely did any damage. Plus, I was well out of its way in Orlando when it hit.

Really? I was actually in Hurricane Andrew. I was visiting my cousin at the Homestead Air Force Base.

"You're about to experience the wrath of God, what are you going to do next?"

"We're going to Disney World!"

We refrained from park-hopping, at least. We had some dignity left.

Well, that's good. Me, I'd have holed myself up in Epcot Center and been pleased as punch.
