You guys make me laugh claiming that PWZ will be #1 on it's first weekend, seriously I don't see fan anticipation that high and with no name stars in the flick the best you could hope for is if the movie does at least 60 million in it's run.

First of all, it's Quantum of Solace, not Casino Royale. Second, QOS comes out Nov.7, while PWZ comes out Dec.5. That's more than enough time to make way for PWZ.

punisher 04 would have been #1 for the box office if it wasn't for kill bill. this movie is so going to be #1 and it will make money. not a lot, but it'll easily make it's budget back and go on to make... hmmm... i'd guess 30-60 million total at the bo.

$60 million would be plenty seeing as how the budget is only $20 million. plus, dvd sales is where it's at these days.

We'll have to do those 'box office prediction' polls when it gets close to opening. It won't be as much fun as with TDK, but still. I'd estimate somewhere in the 20-40 million range domestic, and hopefully Bond will have run it's course by then. However, it doesn't have a whole lot of competition either...

it'll make way more than that opening weekend, seeing as how as of right now there's no major competition. i don't exactly think "luck" is a factor when it comes to financial success of a film and i don't see how a film could be lucky. people are either gonna love it or hate it and it'll either do good or bad. there's not much luck involved.

wow. deep blue sea. yeah, that was such a memorable role and such a wonderful film. i'm not saying stevenson is a bigger draw, he's about the same as jane. but nowadays big name actors aren't a necessity for a successful film. most people know who travolta is but he's not the draw he once was... and a lot of people know who dominic west is too.

this movie will be lucky, very lucky to get a 20-25 opening weekend. since it has no big stars, or well anyone behind this movie. No big director, no big producer, writer. Heck Lionsgate isn't even that big. The only thing it's got going for itself, is the fact that the Marvel logo will show up first.
Now, another problem for this movie is the fact that it might get hurt like the new hulk did. People didn't see that movie because everyone thought the new one was like the old one. the same could happen for this. They might still think it's a modern wester/drama the first was, instead of the ramboish voilent movie this is supposed to be.
Prey that for once lionsgate isn't dumb and markets the movie as such.
This movie will ahve a tough time as it'll go up agaist a remake, an animated movie, that new Brad Pitt movie, a new will smith movie, and Yes Man.
I prey the budget is low enough that it does well agaist those monsters.

He's going to get compared to the Joker. Another thing that could hurt this movie. people will say he's a copy cat even though both were being made at the same time.
