Infinity War Does Whatever a Spider Can - The Peter Parker/Spider-Man thread

Spider-man interacting with anyone will be interesting since he is the only teenager in the group and he has grown up watching most of those guys defending Earth.

I just hope his relationship with Tony doesn't strain him from having anything as strong with other heroes; as in, I hope he isn't strictly on Tony's leash just because he brought him into this fold.

Be it Cap, Thor, Nick Fury-- or even Daredevil under all our wishful thinking(s)-- yeah, he should be allowed to work and bond with them just as much.

Based on that "production trailer", Holland might have scenes with Pratt. It's kinda uncommon that a movie has two characters with a same name.

Spider Man and Star Lord interacting with each other would actually be quite a trip in the sense that it would be funny as hell

Can't remember where I read it, but apparently him & Scarlet Witch may have a bit of a friendship as the youngest there

Civil War had Everett Ross & Thaddeus Ross. With 3-syllable first names you'd imagine other characters would go straight to 'Ross' for both of them, although from what I remember they only did it with Thaddeus. And they never said Everett's name(s) again after they introduced him.

I can see being more like a crush. Holland has sort of a crush for Lizzie already lol.

Sounds like Spidey will have a pretty sizeable role despite Feige's comments about it being like Civil War.

Probably the same in length, but more important than just popping up in the fight sequence as a glorified cameo

it will be interesting to see how they connect the movie to Spider-Man Homecoming, since the final scene before the credits was Aunt May finding out that Peter Parker is Spider-Man

Technically I don't think she saw his face did she?

Not a fan of the look of the new suit or that it will be even more upgraded than the last. Despite playing him up as a kid, Spider-Man is still one of the most powerful heroes in the MCU. There's a lot of other characters who need upgrades if they think he does too

I think it's more like upgrading him to become a big league Avenger up from the 2nd tier (while guys like Hawkeye and Widow are bottom tier on powers).

From what we've seen, he's more powerful than those 2, winter soldier, falcon, Captain America, black panther, and potentially iron Man and war machine (those 2 aren't near as powerful as their comic counterparts). He seems more powerful than the guardians as well, other than groot
Scarlet witch, I can't tell where she is in the movies. Thor hulk and vision would wreck him obviously.

keen to see spidey not hold back at all and fight a bunch of alien goons. we never got to see him in the battle of new york (obv.) so him fighting chitauri or something would be new and exciting to see.

also just want to see what it's like when he fights non-humans and doesn't have to hold back at all.

Yeah, but being a kid does change perspectives. No doubt that ability wise and physically he's up there among the MCU heroes. But, if they are going to send a kid up against alien invaders and the greatest threat they've ever seen...it's understandable to give the only teen in the group the highest levels of protection.

Compared to others he doesn't need it. But I can understand allowing spies, warriors, soldiers, etc the flexibility of fighting in whatever way they are most comfortable.

True. I was going off "on paper." Like how cap beat him in civil war because the script called for it, despite "on paper" he's way less powerful.

Yeah, he'd definitely be one of the next in line afer those guys and Strange.

It's crazy that there are so many characters now that I can't remember them all. I also forgot Ant-Man

Haha, yeah it's an unprecedented project. Was easy to remember all the characters for the first 2 Avengers films. But it started going crazy with CW's 6 on 6, and now you have the Guardians thrown in, Hulk and Thor coming back and Strange to add (and Wasp and CM for A4!). Just as well the Inhumans aren't involved!
