They pulled off the legs well. I didn't thing they would work.

Also does anyone know what Peter said after Cull flung him away when he caught the hammer?

I don't remember exactly, but I know he was about to make a quip and only got to say half of it, which I thought was funny.

Yeah, that wouldn't have felt right in this film.

As much I loved Spidey in this, I still felt the Russos regressed his character a bit. Peter wanting to be an Avenger again bugged me, since it suggests his decision at the end of Homecoming was him wanting to impress Tony. Also some of the sidekick vibes I got from Civil War are still present in this. It's nowhere near as cringeworthy as in CW, and it actually makes *some* sense this time (armageddon alien invasion? I'd be listening to the adults too :oldrazz:). But overall the problem's still there.

Still, it didn't bug me anywhere near as much as I thought it would. Then again, I had a very low bar going in as far as Spidey was concerned. That and there was at least an emotional payoff to it, which you couldn't have had if Peter's relationship to Tony was different.

I guess I don't mind as long as Spider-Man 2 takes us back to the Homecoming characterization.

He always wanted to be an Avenger. The literal only reason he turned it down in Homecoming was because he's a kid and he thought it would make him look mature in-front of Stark. That side wasn't gone he had just suppressed it for the situation. It's the equivalent of stubbing your toe and acting like it doesn't hurt to look tough

To me it also felt like Peter saw the gravity of the situation. He saw that now him becoming an official Avenger was a necessity, not so much to be a superhero like maybe he felt at the start of Homecoming. For me, it didn't feel like Peter regressed at all, but actually matured a bit.

How long after Homecoming does Infinity War happen? Sorry if this was discussed and i missed it.

Couple of questions

1.Will Spidey keep the Iron Spider suit?If no why?Its very useful

2.Any word on whether or not Spidey is leaving MCU after homecoming 2?

It was a six picture deal.
1. Civil War
2. Homecoming
3. Infinity War 1
4. Infinity War 2 (you'd think)
5. Homecoming 2
6. Homecoming 3
And then Sony has a decision to make.

That's not the impression I got, not to mention it's not how Jon Watts and the producers talked about it.

The Russos unfortunately do seem to retcon character arcs on some occassions, it's not the first time it happened (i.e. Civil War mentioning Tony quitting Iron Man at the end of IM3, when that's not what Shane Black intended by the ending).

2nd viewing last night and I loved Spidey even more. He was really integral to the Titan fight and I loved him saving the Guardians after Thanos threw a moon at everyone. Great stuff.

Every where i check says 5 picture

I heard six. Three solo movies and three appearances in other Marvel movies.
I'm half hoping Venom flops hard to show Sony the error of attempting to build a Spider-Man universe outside of Marvel.

Seems like it would overwhelm him. Like it would be more of a hindrance in standard Spidey stories (can he even get it on/off as fast?)

I don't see this being an issue. The average corporate executive is far more cynical than the average Joe on a message board. If fans considered the possibility of Sony pulling out, Disney most definitely considered it prior to making the deal. They probably don't think it would happen or at worst have a backup plans if it does.

Same here! Talking about the good guys, he was my 2nd favorite, tied with Dr. Strange, after Thor!

Yeah, I thought I wouldn’t like them in live action but they were fine. Well executed.
