Well, HM isn't saying one way or another, but has claimed that even if she was allowed to post these on Doug's site, she wouldn't. They seem to be testing the rigging, so that could be a stunt man in the suit.

I know and it's bloody well confusing. I could email him, but I doubt I'd hear anything back from him before they finished filming. We'll just have to wait and see.

One thing to remember, Doug did repeatedly state he wouldn't be wearing a green leotard in the near future, so it stands to reason that it's a stuntman in the suit.

Maybe the "near future" is yet to happen. After the filming of FF2. But then that would rule out his reprising of the role of Abe Sapien for Hellboy 2. Okay, it's not a leotard, but it's green. Although Abe wears a black leotard on the movie.

Doug has not worn, and never will wear, ANY kind of ref-cap or mo-cap leotard to play Abe Sapien. Abe is a prosthetic design by the geniuses at Spectral Motion (who are, incidentally, also working on FF:RotSS), consisting of a number of prosthetic pieces which are attached independently to Doug's body. His make-up session every morning took between 5 and 8 hours, depending on whether Abe was wearing his shirt or not for that day's scenes. This will be the same for HELLBOY II - he's back to many hours of discomfort in the make-up trailer having his 'fish bits' attached and then being made-up with much of the paint etc. being applied to Doug's own skin.

Doug didn't wear a black leotard for Abe, he wore black bike shorts and that's it when he was shirtless. The scene with Abe in the library tank was complete CGI but Doug was never used for a mo-cap for that, they simply created the whole thing in a computer.

I couldn't agree more. Everyone involved in the creation of the Surfer is saying how amazing it is - and I don't think the Fox police will mind if I include Doug on this one. He says he's never looked so hot in his life! This is going to be seriously nifty.

^ I can understand why they don't want to reveal exactly how they're doing it cause it would suck if some other film in the making decided to copy that tech and throw it on the big screen before hand killing the whole "awe" thing.
