EDIT: Looks like there's still a problem - the interview is cut short, and I know there's more to come. Watch this space.

It's such a nice interview that Doug did last week from Vancouver, and I think he'll be finished up as SS by mid-December. He said to me that Ioan is absolutely terrific - a real gem to work with, and he has an impish sense of humour. And Jessie is just a sweetheart!

The interview is great and well worth the download time (of course I have a high speed connection these days). There's a lovely nod to Hellmistress's website for Doug in there too. Also, he goes to great length about how they did The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari which strickly speaking isn't a 'remake' as much as they 'redid' it. And if that didn't make any sense, then just listen to the interview and it'll make a bit more sense.

>^^<

Only half of it will download for me, what does he say about FF2?

Hmmm ... that's odd. I've had no bother at all with it. Doug talks at quite some length about the Surfer, and what the character means to him. Really, it's worth having another go. I can't even begin paraphrasing it. But I think there will be a transcript up in time - but if it gets really impossible to download, I'll see what I can do. It'll take me a couple of days though.

HM

I'll try again, I really enjoyed listening to the first half of the interview. It makes me happy to hear just how passionate about his work he is. It will be a good listen for anyone who has doubts about him being in the role of SS, although most people seem pretty happy with the choice.

Oh, and I'm sold on Pan's Labyrinth. Well, to be honest, I was with the trailer. It looks stunning. :D

I wrote that a couple of days ago, so I don't think anyone's going to shoot you :D!!! And as Doug says in his interview, Fox has spared no expense in bringing the Surfer to the screen.

I love the fact that Ioan is always so popular on the sets he works on!! He doesn't seem to have an egotistical or big headed bone in his beautiful body!!

Thanks so much HM for all the info and stuff you've shared with us over the last few months...being so close to Doug, we always know your info is spot on!!!

Off to download the interview...hope it works for me!!!

Just got a chance to listen to the whole thing. Very good interview indeed. He seems to get what SS is all about which is really great to hear.
