Evil? Or smart business plan cashing in on the craze?

The fad is helpful, tbh. If folks are dumb enough to do it willingly, let's thin that herd...

Is it inappropriate to capitalize on an idiot train that is social Darwinism at its finest... Yes. Does that mean I won't try one? No.

Thanks to them I now know that some people eat laundry soap.

I don't even know why people keep eating those Tide pods?

They don't taste that good.

From what I can tell, eating one could be deadly. These donuts aren't.:woot:

Most people I've seen in the news seem to put the pods on their tongue and spit them out are the ones that go to the hospital after just ingesting a small amount from saliva contacting the detergent.

Bakery has some gumption I'll give them that. If a large franchise did something like this social media would be in an uproar.

Edit: It's Hurt's Donut Shop so surprised by this! (Somehow missed the logo looking at the oddly designed pastries). Thought it was just some really small bakery done as a side business sort of thing trying to gain notoriety but no. Surprised definitely. I think I'll go to my local Hurt's to try one of these. (Pun intended)

What's messed up about making doughnuts based on an internet meme?

Love that co. name. Wonder what other kinds they have.

Funny idea. I wish it looked more like the pod, but I think that would be an expensive pastry.

I am attracted to anything blue and orange.

Seems like a smart business move to me. Stupid people who want to eat tide pods are going to do it regardless of actual food making fun of them.

Thanks to them I now know that some people eat laundry soap.

Yeah, I didn't even know people were doing that, and now I'm once again disappointed in humanity. They're highly concentrated packets of chemicals that open up on contact to moisture, they can cause poisoning and chemical burns, don't put them in your f***ing mouth.

"If you want to eat Pods then come eat ours. At least you won't end up in the hospital*"

*Barring allergies, diabetes or other non laundry soap related issues.

we had a local bakery do that here too
