As I'm sure most of you already know, Neil Gaiman was planning on writing a Doctor Strange film for Guillermo Del Toro to direct, however he's a little busy at the moment with The Hobbit and is pretty much set until 2017 with stuff like Slaughterhouse Five, Frankenstein and a few other films. Go here for more info...

Now, do you guys think that Marvel should/will hold out until 2017 for Del Toro (if he is actually going to be booked until then) or move on to another equally great director?

While Dr. Strange is a character in 1602″ as the Queens court physician, Gaimans just a tad more interested in seeing him get some non-1602″ treatment from Guillermo del Toro.
Guillermo del Toro and I have talked about doing a Dr. Strange movie, Gaiman said. And I think wed both really like to do a Dr. Strange movie. Wed love to do it together. The problem is, Guillermos off doing The Hobbit, and thats going to be three, four years in New Zealand for him. And when he comes back, I suspect that he will then want to do something personal, so hell probably do Hellboy 3′ [Ed note: Or perhaps 'Frankenstein,' 'Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde,' or 'Slaughterhouse Five'] before we could ever get to do a Dr. Strange movie.
