That does look good. I try and go non human for my ones.

I don't know if its because I hardened her or not but Leliana
has turned into a real sociopath. Girl just slit a sister's neck and is having somebody's kid kidnapped for leverage. How did she become the cold one while Morrigan ended up being friendly and warm!

What's with putting manuals online? just put a book in with the disk, geeze.

I had a discussion a week or two ago about the glory days of manuals and how you'd receive essentially little lore books with some games (thinking of Blizzard in particular). I've gone largely digital (which in and of itself is kind of the problem) so its not something I necessarily would have gotten anyway but I do miss getting big fat manuals.

There is a lot of new content in this game that as far as I know has gone unexplained (just one example on the top of my head, the new emotion icons they don't tell you what they mean). I've never been a fan of games with tutorial pop-ups. They should be at least in the options menu if not in a physical manual.

Does anyone know if you have already completed a quest with a possible agent, that if you didn't hire them At that point in time, that you could not then come later and ask them to join?

Just finished at 75 hours (not all sidequests but the ones that looked substantial and one zone I still haven't explored).

Will probably post something more later but in two words: Very Good!

Is it just a 360 thing, or are the load times REALLY long here?

Load times are longer on previous gen machines.

I was hoping to get the game out of my system but I.. I think I'm going to start a new character this instant. Oh gods.

Here's a freaky article

The List : 5 Reasons Why Dragon Age Would Make a Great MMO

Posted Nov 25, 2014

My PlayStation 4 has been dominated by Dragon Age: Inquisition over the past week. In about 7 days, between working full-time, writing as a freelancer, balancing relationships, and several other things, I have somehow found nearly 20 hours of spare time to invest in Bioware’s latest epic – and I can tell I’m just now scratching the surface.
Read more of David Jagneaux's The List: 5 Reasons Why Dragon Age Would Make a Great MMO.
Bioware has always been known for crafting some of the most enthralling and engaging adventures in the industry. And they’re no longer new to the MMO industry either – with The Old Republic now a seasoned entry in the genre. I’ve previously written about other single-player games that would make great MMOs, including Bioware’s Mass Effect. After Inquisition, however, I’m convinced that Dragon Age’s Thedas is the perfect setting for an MMO.

5) Established Lore and Timeline
I’ve always been a big lore guy for any game I play. Part of that is surely my deep interest in fiction, reading, fantasy settings, and being a writer, but it’s also because games often have some of the most interesting and dynamic stories out of any medium out there. To this end, Bioware is surely among the best. They have a knack for creating incredibly detailed and diverse game worlds for their stories to take place in.
List-Nov25-1_t.jpg

Dragon Age is based in Thedas (which, interestingly enough, started out as an acronym for The Dragon Age Setting) a huge world that has its own types of races, religions, cultures, politics, conflicts, and so much more. The world is so detailed, that these fictional concepts like the Templars, Circle of Mages, Chantry, the Maker, Andraste, Ferelden, Orlais, and everything else feel like living, breathing parts of the real world. An MMO could take place across the entire area of Thedas, during any of a dozen different time periods – there is so much potential.
4) Established Fanbase
One of the biggest struggles for any new IP, especially an MMO that needs to garner the interest of hundreds of thousands, or millions, to be successful. Look at the biggest MMOs in the post-EverQuest world: World of Warcraft had the Warcraft games and backing of Blizzard, Star Wars: The Old Republic has one of the most popular fictional universes of all-time, Guild Wars 2 is a sequel, and, well – you get the point.
List-Nov25-2_t.jpg

Dragon Age: Inquisition now marks the 3rd game in a huge fantasy series that seems like it’s trying to be the next Lord of the Rings – and is succeeding. The only other game franchise that is on a comparable level of scale is The Elder Scrolls, so that’s in some pretty good company. At this point, Dragon Age is an amazing and engaging single player series, and it should continue to be, but it can expand beyond and be so much more.
3) Combat Already Plays Like an MMO
Just look at screenshots of Dragon Age – tell me that you didn’t at least for a second think that it could have been an MMO. On PC, the skillbar at the bottom just looks like something out of an MMO. On consoles, the skill interface is very similar to Final Fantasy XIV on console. You hold down your basic attack button for auto-attack, very similarly to an MMO, and combat is heavily influenced by party-balance.
List-Nov25-3_t.jpg

The only part about Dragon Age combat, and general gameplay that would need to be resolved would be the necessity of a full group of complimentary party members. Perhaps they could employ a system similar to the original Guild Wars or Neverwinter, so that if you’re playing alone, you have a band of followers. So that way, you’re not locked out of content and required to have a full party of other people at all times.
2) Huge World
Similar to The Elder Scrolls’ Tamriel, Dragon Age’s Thedas has still barely been explored in its games, and we’ve had 3 so far. Just look at that map right there – it’s huge! Now we’ve seen a big portion of Ferelden and Orlais, but what about the Free Marches, the origin of the player character in Inquisition? How about exploring Nevarra, Antiva, or even the Teviner Imperium?
List-Nov25-4.jpg

MMOs are always really well-known for having some of the biggest game worlds, and Thedas is definitely worthy of that type of creation. Each portion of the map could be a different starting zone and it presents an excellent opportunity to revisit the “Origin” system from the first Dragon Age game. It would be a bit unreasonable to assume the entire game could be showcased in the launch of the MMO, but that just opens up the door for some great and big expansion later on down the line.
1) Race and Faction Disputes
Some of the most successful MMOs in history are founded on the concept of internal strife – whether it be based on races, factions, or alignments – the struggle between players is a strong foundation to build upon. And in the Dragon Age universe, there is plenty of that. Empires at war, the constant struggle between the mages and Templars, warring religious organizations, rebellions, and so much more.
List-Nov25-5_t.jpg

Throw on top of that the constant fluctuation of race relations between the humans, elves, dwarves, and qunari, and Thedas is anything but a peaceful utopia. Bioware has done a great job of not only creating these conflicts, but making them believable. I feel bad for the elves – they’re constantly suppressed. While I sympathize with the mages for being controlled by the Templars, their connection to the Fade and the potential for demons, is dangerous enough that it requires a policing body. I would love to be able to dive into this world with other players and exploring these relationships in more detail.
Conclusion
The potential for the Dragon Age series as an MMO extends far beyond what’s been discussed, simply due to the sheer number of unknowns at play. What about other races? Surely there are other uses for lyrium or unique connections to the Fade we haven’t seen yet. Wouldn’t it be pretty amazing to essentially take the multiplayer component from Inquisition, put that into the base game, and expand it even further? Truly, the sky is the limit for a Dragon Age MMO, if it ever comes to be.

Dragon Age MMO? GTFO. The strength of the franchise is that it's a linear narrative revolving around one person who shapes the world with their choices.

Yeah. I hate the idea of a DAMMO.

That being said.. Any of you guys play the MP? How is it?

I hate to say it, but I would like to play one. Of course I wouldn't want them to stop with the single players game. If I had to choose, I'd definitely want them to continue with the main games.

well the way I see it he's(the author) not completely right or wrong ad MMo can work but some stuff might change like the romance's unless the do some special catered to you some how. and an MMo won't end the series, cause seeing that Dc is still putting out games after DCUO there's alot of stuff for bioware to do if they wish to.

So there's no point in saying it'll end the single player main series of games . we still had arkham titles happening and other games that came out while DCUO out arleady prior to them.

other have done the same to a degree as well . if it happens it'll be for a different audience compared to those that only like a certain style of game too. it does't akway have to be the very same crowd or audience. it's how my dad likes records or some people prefer movies . how we like tv or games There are people that are just into that one thing alone won't move from their main like

Just don't do what Sqaure did other wise they will kill their dev studio/ publisher house.

KOTOR was killed off by The Old Republic. That was even BioWare franchise. Warcraft turned into a MMO franchise from WoW. It's taken 10 years for there to be any rumblings about WC4.

well that' ether one of two(or 3) thing's they are out of idea's for the single player or they just don't want to do it any more . or 3 they are too lazy do more installments .

like I said other places/studio's publishers currently have shown other wise.
It's a want to/ don't want to thing. Kinda like how comic publishers always make mistake with making the character too jerky or send them down the wrong path characterization wise or with their version of break down to build the back up in the worst way possible. (which tic's off fan's and the comic's suffer for it later)

But we know it doesn't have to be that way with the games. They just have want to do so (make more games ) or not.

It's always been about wanting to do so.

Thank god this still doesn't have any spoilers yet.

*breaths relieved*

In a word: Slow.

Also, this is not a game you can jump in with random people. To get the most out of each map you need all three classes in your group. Bosses can be a bit cheap.

On the plus side, the enemies you fight changes. Meaning you can play the same map, but the enemy type is different each time.

Is it just a 360 thing, or are the load times REALLY long here?

It's horrible. I couldn't play it. At least it motivated me to buy the XONE and Inquisition next gen version which is infinitely better.

Just did the Here Lies the Abyss:
Wow just wow, the Grey Wardens sure got unlucky. I had the choice to have my Marian Hawke or Loghain Mar Tir sacrifise themselves, ultimately i chose that Hawke stayed in the fade, because if anyone could survive, it has to be the Champion of Kirkwall, right?

And now the greatest tactical mind of Ferelden has rosen as the leader of the Grey Wardens in Orlais and assisting my Inquisition, awesome!

I spoiled myself on this quest. My world state has Loghain dead, but I need one where he survived.

I just love the idea that Loghain was ostracized by the wardens for surviving Denerim while the Hero died slaying the Archedemon. The quest is his chance for redemption. By having him stay in the Fade, he achieves this and, thus, has fulfilled his purpose and can die with his honor restored.

I don't know if the cutscenes are going to reflect this, but I love how BioWare creates these scenarios where you can fill in these blanks

Yeah but at the end of the day:
Why sacrifise Loghain, when you can have him end up becoming a higher ranked Grey Warden with more power to assist the Inquistion and the world? Why sacrifise him? I decided to sacrifise Hawke, because he has a higher chance at survival (i think?) and the Champion of Kirkwall was more of an image, sure, he was a great guy and everything, he lead a good team of people, but he wasn't some rebel mage leader or anything.
