Part 2's hack and slash with some fights requiring Origins style.

the combat is like 2's hack and slash, but the pacing and attacks feel a bit slower and more deliberate.

I like the combat in this game.

btw.........has anyone had any freezing/stuttering issues with the X1 or PS4 versions?

My X1 version kept freezing or "starting and stopping" in certain areas. it was weird.

fortunately, I was able to exchange it for the PS4 version, so hopefully I don't run into any issues with that one.

Who did you choose as the new Divine? I'm not sure do i want Cassandra or Leliana, both seem good.

I kept Celene in power which meant Orlais went on being Orlais.


Leliana ended up as my divine, apparently there is a way to get Vivienne chosen as well.

Hawke was kind of a b***h to Stroud. I think it's a quest that makes more sense if the Warden is Loghain or Alistair.

I also wanted to tell the Wardens to go search for the Hero of Ferelden to lead them.

hey, anyone with the PS4 version have this problem?

on the bottom left, there's that round mini-map compass thing. and there's an arrow that represents your character to show which direction you're facing.

well, I've noticed on the PS4, that when I'm walking around, that arrow in the minimap sometimes "blurs" or "vibrates" especially when that map area is passing over something in the environment. it's like the arrow goes out of focus ( double vision ) for a brief second.

anyone else experiencing this? could it be my game or some kind of setting on my TV?

So, finally got the game on Wednesday, got to the part where I met a certain Hero, and I'm so bummed out because her face looks horrible. It's like they didn't even try.

Did you actually get to that part in the game yourself? Because the first time I meet her, she looks nothing like that. Not even remotely. Even the hair in that gif doesn't exist in the character creator. I'd take a screenshot of her and show you, but I'm in the middle of fixing that hot mess of a face, and can't leave the customization menu.

But what was shown in the trailer, is not what ended up in the game. It's like they lost whatever data they had, and had to recreate it from scratch, 5 seconds before the game was supposed to go gold.

Did you go with default face and then it looked all different or did you hit custom.

Yeah it seems Here lies the Abyss lies any emotional punch if you have Stroud, who cares about him?! Choosing Alistair/Loghain or Hawke is much harder, especially Alistair or Hawke, they're on equal footing tbh. I guess i'd save Alistair since he'd have more leadership capability

Went with default and couldn't believe what I was seeing. She looked nothing like Hawke from DA2. Going through all the hair options again, and the hair from the gif is actually there, but it's still a major disappointment, when you're hoping to actually re-create her default look.

I'm getting a bit closer. Still not too happy, but it's much better than what she looked like before. I'll post some screens for comparison, once I'm done.

That is really weird that that happened. Maybe there's a glitch, I'll ask a friend of mine for a screen later - she went with default Lady Hawke.

What happens when you finish the game? Can you do side missions still? War table missions? Or is it game over?

I wonder if BioWare originally had the Warden character be your Warden as an option. But having to choose between Hawke and the Warden be too cruel.

It does make sense to have Stroud/Alistair/Loghain survive to lead the Wardens, but I felt that a Warden should make the sacrifice as is their duty. Hawke still has friends and family to live for. I'd have to do a playthrough where Hawke didn't romance anyone and Bethany and Carver both died.

Stroud definitely died though. You see him drop his sword and shield and slump over.

All of them? Companion quests, war table missions, etc?

Because all i now have is either doing side missions or the final quest, and i really would like to see the end personally.
