I need some help! End game lore:
I have the choice to drink from the well, or allow Morrigan to drink from it, but you cannot allow the well to get destroyed? Morrigan killed the damn elf.

If you care about Morrigan drink from the well but be prepared for the price

I finished the game, here are my thoughts about the massive lore revelations, my character's ending, etc.

Since i couldn't destroy the well, i made Morrigan drink it, my dwarf warrior just couldn't risk the potential of binding yourself eternally to Mythal, even if my Dwarf is an atheist, but he's a Reaver so he understands magic.

So yeah, Solas!!!!! All those ancient elven lore was magnificent, i love how Bioware treats gods in this universe, it's really refreshing to see beings of higher being used in a story, since today's pop culture always seems to compromise religion in favor to people who hate religion/people who hate christianity.

So yeah Cassandra becomes the Divine for me, huzzah! Gaspard is a good Emperor and Briele manages to remove Alieneges and whatnot, Orlais will plunge in to civil war, but it is a civil war that i deem necessary.

I hope we get more dwarf lore in a dlc/expansion, Kal-Sharok please!
I also recommend everyone to do Blackwall's companion quest, it really makes him a multi layered character and much better than i ever expected him to be, who has been the SHH gangs favorite/least favorite companion? For me it has to be Sera as the least favorite companion ever, she is mentally incapable of changing her world view, she acts like a moron, she is rude and childish, acting just as bad as the noble pricks she likes to hunt.

So, should i play my Dr. Doom inspired Qunari Mage next or Tarantino inspired Elf rogue? :word:

as someone who normally prefers sword and shield warriors, I've got to admit.......playing as a dual wielding rogue sure is fun!!

Finally started this. First time in a LONG time I'll be playing a game on "easy" mode. I just feel like I wanna experience the world and story.

The little bits of Kal-Sharok in this game make it seem like an intensely interesting place.

Also hoping to visit the Anderfels whenever that Grey Warden civil war they teased happens.

So I'm about 15 hours in. This is the best RPG Bioware has made since KOTOR. They have made some great games but this feels more like their best work like Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, KOTOR, and Neverwinter Nights. I would be so happy if they just took this upgraded the graphics and made a new SW RPG.

What has been missing in many of these later Bioware games is depth in combat, and depth in the world and everything around you.

Heck yeah! I wonder if that's DLC/Expansion or Dragon Age 4, speaking of that, i also have another comment for Spidey-Bat, please don't read unless you've finished the game:
Since there is a Grey Waden civil war brewing up, who better to lead the good side of Wardens than Loghain?! Now that's another proper redemption for the man, not him staying in Fade.

just curious.....but is the armor style that Leliana wears available as a schematic?

or is that just available to Leliana?

Drz...

That would be neat. I need to load a world state where he's the Warden. I'll use my warrior Hawke who I was kinda meh on. He wouldn't have romanced anyone and Bethany was a happy Circle mage (hopefully still alive), so it's not as sad if he dies. Since you like Loghain a lot, you should check out The Stolen Throne.

I just finished Wicked Hearts and Minds...

The quest was kind of annoying. It's a big palace that's kind of confusing to get around with lots to explore and collect...but the Court Favor forces you to rush through most of it. They needed to make it mesh better.

The plot was kind of confusing, too. It was hard to figure out how Bralia factored into it and if Gaspard was really behind it or just set-up by his sister. It's a quest you need to replay knowing where everything is so you can get the outcome you want. It's one I'm glad we'll have the DA Keep for.

And Morrigan appears!!! Seeing her again was exciting. I love how BioWare has developed her. In two conversations you have with her, it's clear she genuinely loves the Warden and their son.

I would love an expansion where you go to Denerim to speak with Alistair about where the Warden might be who is also meeting with Sten. Then you go to Orzammar and the Deep Roads and meet up with Oghren, Shale, Nathaniel, and Warden Bethany/Carver.

Also, question for those who beat the game...
Can the Inquisitor die? I think I want my character to sacrifice himself.

Nope, but you have one big decision you make before facing Coryphius.

Also, who did you choose in Wicked Hearts? I went with:
I allowed Empress Celene to die (it was for the best) made Gaspard the ruler, made Briele manipulate him and i did Josephine's war table quest so Gaspard turns his attention to waging war againts Tevinter, not Fereldren.

It's choosing a Divine, right? I like Cassandra because she'll reform the Chantry and Circles. However, she's my character's romance. If my Inquisitor could die, I would make her the Divine. However, I would choose Leliana since, despite having become a much darker character since DA:O, was Justinia's most loyal disciple. But I think she has a more conservative perspective on mages and templars.

It was hard to figure out what I was doing or what was going on in the Winter Palace. I chose to save Celene, since that was my main motivation to go there. I had Gaspard exiled and the elf was cast aside...I think. There's an outcome where they all can work together but I'll try again when there's a guide online. I also trust Morrigan who wants Celene alive.

Actuallu:
Choosing a Divine happens at Skyhold thru dialogue, i guess they ran out of budget? There's 1 more choice even after the Divine one. I chose Cassandra as my Divine.

y'know....I've been thinking..........

I really think the Focus abilities should have been put into their own tree, instead of being tied to the Specs trees. Most of the Focus abilities don't really have anything to do with the theme of that particular Spec. Indeed, most of them feel like abilities that should have been available to the class irrespective of the Spec you choose.

For example, Tempest has Thousand Cuts as the Focus ability. yet, Thousand Cuts itself really doesn't have anything to do with the alchemy flask theme of Tempest. Why can't any dual wielding Rogue have access to that "super ability?"

There should have been a separate Focus tree where you can choose from the Inquisitor focus abilities ( like Mark of The Rift ) in addition to the 3 Focus abilities for your class.

So, Warriors would have access to Rally ( from Templar ), Counterstrike ( from Champion ), and Rampage ( from Reaver ).

and so on for Rogues and Mages.

That way, you have the choice of these 3 "super moves" without having to go into a specific spec.

I actually wish the Inquisitor tree was a full fledged spec with more rift abilities. The super you get from that is really cool.

Leliana actually has the most radical vision for mages/templars in that she wants the Mages to totally be free and with no official oversight.

Cassandra wants to reform the existing organizations and Vivienne (who is the secret third choice) is the most traditionalist out of the three.

In my opinion:
If you want an "happy ending" the best choice is Cassandra, she recreates the Circles, but the mages themselves manage it and Templars become a global peace task force, they help villagers, protect roads from bandits, etc.

Leliana's option is highly interesting, but what she's doing is making Chantry the dominant religion, and you know what religion is? It is a weapon, she creates millions of new fanatics, so i bet with Leliana's reform, there will be a religious war coming out, so i can't wait to have that get done.

Oh definitely. Her vision for all the races being under the banner of the Chantry coupled with her religious militarism left me feeling like some holy wars were on the Horizon.

You know things have changed when Morrigan seems the safer of the two.

hmmm........that's interesting. I'm way off from that point, but I'll keep those choices in mind when I get to that decision.

There a vendor in Val Royeauz on the very top level who sells a mysterious box
Getting it leads you to a Nug mount

I bought the Mysterious Box... Worth it.

I bought it too, but when I saw what was in the box, I reloaded the save with an urge to punch that dude in the face.... not looking at the spoilers, but I guess I was too hasty in my rage?

Also... I knew I didn't like the Orlisian people. I got hints from Origins and DA2 that those people were a-holes, but a whole society of people wearing masks? Screw those people.

I killed my first Dragon with Iron Bull, I like the way he celebrates :D
