Dragonball 2: Reborn (2011) Official

huh?

read the first post, guy provides a link and within this posted link is an update saying there is no sequel news, therefore topic stating db 2:official is not official

Ah I see.

Yup. Further proving the lack of credence in this entire sequel rumor.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Greatest post yet. :hehe:

I'm with yah the idea is terrifying.

Exactly.

I wrote it in the first page. This has got to be complete BS.

Plus I used to write and post news for www.dbthemovie.com (now defunct and has merged with some other site). I can tell you dblegends will post almost anything and their reliability level is incredibly low.

We kept our stuff as rumor free as possible.

I wouldn't even consider this as a grain of salt.

And even if this baseless rumor does come to fruition we all know the result will be utter crap.

What's up craig? I remember when you were optimistic about the first movie. It's alright man. I feel your pain.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Your avatar is still awesome.

Whatever happened to the live action Akira version? if it turns out like Dragonball Z then I prefer it never gets made.

They should have waited until after Avatar to even attempt to do a DBZ movie. Cameron's technology would have been more than sufficient to do the characters that were in the show, including Oolong, Ox King, etc.

But I doubt a Dragonball Z movie would be given such a huge budget for SFX.

I was cautiously optimistic when we just had set photos.

It's when we got our first trailer and whatnot when the negativity starting setting in.

Then when I actually watched the movie it was complete drivel, 100 to the 100th power of a pure unabashed fest of mediocrity.

I remember in one of the last podcasts I did with Jappo for dbthemovie. We both came to the conclusion that the movie was just a cheap cash grab attempt by Fox. In which they miserably failed. Simple as that.

The fight scenes?

God they were terrible.

I honestly enjoyed following DB:E through the production stages more than the actual movie itself. It was a far more satisfying experience seeing how cutthroat the studio system can be.

It was also fun discussing the movie with folks like yourself Stylish. You and others made really good contributions. In the end all DB fans were just given a deformed anomaly (DB:E) of a beloved series.

Hey Craigthe Robocop remake is going to SUCK!!!!!! .,.....MUAHAHAHAHAHA

I remember that website. I joined the forum for a day or two until i was banned for saying ass.:awesome:

Dont even say akira, the producers are watching and if they remeber to do akira all hope is lost and they will ruin akira.

Silly guy, movie producers never roam these boards.

Also, they need the right budget for a DragonBall movie. If I'm not mistaken, Dragonball Evolution only cost about..like 70-80 million. For a movie like Sherlock Holmes that's okay, but you either need a visionary who can keep the budget low and have great effects (a Neil Bloomkamp type) or at least $150 million dollars under your belt.

Also, I think the Hellboy movies were done with 80-100 million and they had great character designs too. So I guess it depends on the director and how far you wanna dive into a series like this; being half-ass does NOT work for a fantasy like Dragonball.

It wasn't even that. James Marsters after the film confirmed it was more like 30 million.

yeah it was in no way a 80 million movie.

and please stop using D9 when talking about budgets. please.

Even if DB:E were given a big budget and Avatar technology, the movie still won't have been good with those horrible plot and even worse dialogues, not to mention the story did no justice to its source material. Fox just wanted to make a cheap movie in an attempt to hold on to the license, and sadly they screwed the fans in the process.

it needs a better director and writer.... the cast was ok to me...

AHHHH NOOOO I mean god damn why? The 1st movie was horrible and somehow it made enough money to make a sequel? Stop this Franchise now before they ruin Vegeta Frieza Cell and Buu please just stop.

Even you though you were optimistic, you still actually contributed something to the DB forums unlike some other supporters on here.

It's when we got our first trailer and whatnot when the negativity starting setting in.

I think a lot of people were turned off after that. It was only going to go downhill from there.

Absolutely. I can't find one person who actually enjoyed it. Hell...even that one guy from Venezuela who was backing the movie for months thought it was bad. :hehe:

I remember that guy. It's a shame, too. He put all that time and effort into those podcasts and website for nothing. Fox will never learn.

I know. I don't even remember there being that many fight scenes. I counted two at the most, but I haven't watched that turd in awhile.

I honestly enjoyed following DB:E through the production stages more than the actual movie itself. It was a far more satisfying experience seeing how cutthroat the studio system can be.

Same here. It was much more entertaining watching some of the people on here defend the movie then do a complete 180 almost immediately after the movie came out.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I feel the same. If this abomination gets made, it looks like DB fans will get to look forward to more mediocrity.

For some reason, i think the beginning on DBE was trying to copy Transformers... the classroom scene where the boy says some stuff, nobody believes him. Theres a girl he likes in his class... and so on...

It makes sense if that was the case. A lot of people said Dragonball: Evolution could have been the new Transformers. I guess that's what Fox was going for, but not in the way we were expecting. :cmad:
