Dragonball Script Thread (Contains Spoilers Duh)

Goku would always take break. He would start eating a lot in between training and stuff.

If he would have said he wants a break because he's starving, that'd be totally different. But in the script he sounds like he's tired of training.

Yeah from the sounds of it Goku comes out the house and says he wants a break like hes fed up.

I hate how they turned him into a normal highschool kid with awesome martial arts skills. He wants to meet girls, go to parties and throws a tantrum about how sucky his current situation is. I get that enough in real life, I want to see the martial arts nut, with a big appetite and somewhat of a little dimwit. I'm so praying that they've changed the majority of the school stuff.

i feel that they have totally changed the character of Goku, if the script is real. he should be like a kid who grew up in the woods and doesnt even know what a girl is. goku being naive and somewhat dumb makes the goku who we know and love

i dont need to see another Karate Kid movie....although i love the Karate Kid..lol

nathan, i also agree with you as far as it being dunb having a dragonball video game in the movie. he plays the game and then towards the end he is practically in the video game counting his perfect 15 seconds. to me, that's the stuff that makes a movie cheesy.

i'll still go see it cause i love db so much!

I hope they get rid of the video game stuff, his crush on that girl and also the excessive swearing... It got really old, really fast...

There was a lot of things I thought they nailed perfectly though, for example, Roshi and Bulma were written really well... other then a few lines and as I said, Bulma's trashy swearing.

I agree entirely, as soon as I read the scene when the 15 seconds is brought up, it was easily predictable to know it would be something he'll come across later.

The scripts ending most likely has been rewritten, givin the mention of a tournament. Anyone else love the connection between ChiChi and Goku? I thought that was kinda cute. Glad they've given ChiChi more film time.

So, I finally finished reading the script. It was decent, with a few changes it could be a good Movie.

- Get rid of all run-of-the-mill stuff about highschool teenage problems and give us a proper Goku.
- Don't ever mention Dragonball trading cards or video games. (How the heck did the creators of the game know about the traps in the real temple? 15 second count? Get outta here.)
- The Oolong demon sucking the life out of girls. No, just no.
- Exchange every Pilaf scene with an old Piccolo that wishes for eternal life in the end.
- No other evil Nameks other than Piccolo.
- More Kuririn screentime.

If they've already changed all this stuff, I might give the Movie another chance.

first i think the dragonball game is made by those friends nerds of him
the place about grandpa gohan's house is like this house
the information about the house in the script and at the pictue is the same

and the capsule corps wont be in it but they give it another name;; retro(dont know why)

and if bulma's father is dead how in the sequals can they go to namek??
space ship of goku was broken and the namek ship was rebuild
ok if they go whit the ship to namek
how can goku go? maybe they wish him back but i dont see that happening
they changed so much
and they let yamcha be a desert bandit?, wasnt it surposed to be modernerised?he wears a leather coth and got cool hair, aint like a desert bandit,
so i happely came to the conslusion it is fake, what other people agree whit me.

Can be real, can be fake. People said it was a rough draft. So all the changes can be explained through re-writes.

Again I have communicated with Christina Inman (Manager of the Fox in Mexico) ... via mail me said it had received information from the Matrix Fox (20th Century Fox USA) ...

and you were told that there is no worry that this screenplay is not the film ... is false.

I'm trying to contact someone very close to production for their views known, but I do not have answered.

And it is logical that says Christina Inman, if true, Fox had already asked to withdraw from all sides and I have not seen acting because the script continues to circulate freely ... ie not worry that a dash false circulating on the network.

Regarding the fragment of script that has appeared, I had knowledge of it from a few weeks ago, and is real, that sheet was found in the restaurant where iban The Chonas the end to eat the staff and actors from the film ... chavo who speaks with what had originally in power, I commented that perhaps this scene was erased, discarded or rewritten, as if setting is a line to center ...

I can't believe that they aren't going to include one of the most amazing technology ever.

And about the script, they are saying that it's not the screenplay for the Movie, which I believe. But it could still be a very early and rough draft that they simply aren't using.

the swearing actually bothered me too. that script seems to be trying so hard to modernise the story. it's a bit too much. i'm starting to hope it's a fake script or hopefully they rewrote it alot

#3 won't be in the new movie
#4 well we have something called fullum assasins in the movie picollo henchmen
#5 No krillin hasn't been announced officially so I assume there will be no krillin except a small cameo I guess

On April 10th 2009 I will be loving the movie due to extremely low expectations while others will be sorely dissapointed.

I am gonna wait for the trailer now which by now should have been out since it has been a while since the shooting was over but maybe the flick is on par with eragon and avp 2 so they will release the trailer maybe 2-3 months before.

I am trying to lower peoples expectations here so that at the end they can feel better because nothing is worse than a fan so hyped for a movie and supports it till the end but then comes out dissapointed or pissed from the theatre.

But I realize that I have no right to lower anyones expectations so ya I am wrong.
