Dragonball Script Thread (Contains Spoilers Duh)

I've posted what I liked about the script. Now here are some footnotes of what i felt was missing.

*Goku's happy go lucky attitude
*Some humor for Goku
*Goku's appetite
*Not enough Chi Chi
*Chi Chi's domineering personality
*Not enough screen time for Piccolo

All things that I think we have confirmation Wong fixed.

Though I do worry about Goku as even though we have reports about him being happier.. the promos say otherwise.

ok thanks, I didn't want to check it out if it was fake but since it's real it's worth a read even if it's an early draft.

We don't. I just don't believe a fan would write such a cohesive script, and then add Ben Ramsey;s name to it on the title page.

I'm rereading the script right now, and there is something that I think would have been better and more Goku like right at the beginning. He and Gohan are training and he complains and wants to stop. I think it would have been much truer to the characters if Goku was the one who wanted to keep training and Grandpa Gohan was the one who suggested they stop, telling Goku that rest is an important part of training, but his real reason being that he was having a hard time keeping up with Goku's strength, speed, and skill.

Diddy and other equally inappropriate things and with everything being described as "badass." I could do without the teenspeak and people calling one another "hot" too. That doesn't belong in Dragonball. The "time" epiphany at the end was also stupid because the previously heard remarks out of which it came didn't add up into anything coherent. Ben Ramsey was trying to invoke the same plot device that was used so well in movies like Minority Report where small clues scattered throughout the story coalesce into something significant at the end, but he's not as good of a writer as Philip Dick, so he couldn't get the conclusion to come out correctly.

I know, the script has many faults. I'm just starting at the beginning. I posted all my positive comments, now I'm focusing on my critiques.


I can't really comment on Minority Report, as well I've never seen more than 1/4 of it without falling asleep

i think is a old version of the actual script.

I like from this script:

The Relation between Ozaru and eclipse, in that way we get to see Ozaru and dont have to destroy the moon(that feat in live action actually will damage the planet)

The role of Yamcha, Bulma and Roshi.
Krillin cameo
it has some funny lines.
Sho fighting Yamcha
Mai fighting Bulma

I dislike:
Goku being not a happy guy.
Little time for Piccolo
Oolong and Ox king(not important for the history)

It needs:
Mafuba
more Piccolo
more Roshi
and a happy, allways hungry, and fight crazy Goku( i can accept his school role if he show all this in his personality)
Good final fight
Krillin and Tien Cameo

I think it will be and Ok movie, it can not be worse than "The phanton Menace" "Fantastic four" "Mortal combat" " Van hellsing", "harry Potter" movie; so i predict a fair success, mostly worldwide.

Yeah, the first and the second harry potter are the best, the other not so much.

I believe at least DB it would be as Forbidden kingdom.
