Looks OK for now. Need to see more. Looks like it's gonna be a good mix of animated series and Oshii movies.

I like the aesthetic and visual weirdness. That being said, something just looks off about Takeshi Kitano as Aramaki. Him with that hair style, it just looks weird. Then again, I'm not overly fond of their casting choices for Togusa, Borma, or Batou either.

But yeah need to see more. Despite my misgivings about the production, it's not like I'm not going to see it. If it's bad, I think it might at least be an interesting trainwreck. The director is good with visuals, so the film might at least do a good job of translating the visual weirdness anime can sometimes have and bring it to the big screen.

I like it visually, I dig the cast. I just hope the story doesn't suck. I don't want yet another visually pretty, packed with slo-mo and beauty shots, but shallow and dumb film.

the cinematography to me looks syfy tv show bad. IMO .i hope they fix it in post prodcution. the production design is good.

The first Avengers films does reek of television visuals, especially in the first two acts. This does not remind me of that at all.

Wow.

The visuals and the aesthetic (which look like the '95 film mixed with SAC). Sexy-as-hell cinematography for days (long takes and still frame). The production design (someone who was a part of the film mentioned on reddit a heavy use of practical effects. Definitely looks like it). The overall look of this just oozes quality.

Granted, it's a few short teasers, but still.

If this thing is as half as good as it looks, it looks like my good feelings and vibes weren't completely unfounded.

Dammit, they've hooked me. Wasn't a fan of ScarJo's casting, the director, or the early candid pics...but these short clips are damn awesome.

I've been dying for another big-budget take on cyberpunk, this may very well have to do until Blade Runner 2.

Producer Frank Marshall said Joe Cornish may finally film Snow Crash next years as well.

With Mr Robot, Ghost In The Shell and Blade Runner 2 it looks like we have a mini Cyberpunk revival going on.

there is no hate campaign. its 2016 and every year we get at least 10 big budget effects heavy movies. its hard to get excited

Maybe I'm wrong, but there's a difference between reserved expectations or indifference and hate. People are looking for excuses to hate it. Hence comments like "as much as I want to hate it..." Why do you want to hate it so much? Race whining still? And not only that. Everything is horrible. From Kitano's wig and an "antique" gun to Motoko's "shaking"...

Anyway, nothing of that will matter if the movie ends up being great.
