Dressing Your Age

Haha, shenanigans. If you lived near me, I'd totally hang out with you in real life and we'd do nerdy things

We'd watch Peter Pan (Disney), Hook, and Peter Pan (2003 with JASON ISAACS!!!). All in one sitting.

... then have lengthy debates over which is best.

No suits then? :(

Yeah, not really. My job is so laid back anymore, it doesn't matter what you wear to work. Most everyone in my area is jeans and t-shirts these days, and that suits me just fine. Even the people who wear khaki's and button-ups stand out like sore thumbs (usually manager-types). Every once in awhile, I'll show up to work in a tie and take weird breaks where I disappear for a little bit. Makes my management wonder if I'm interviewing for other jobs or something and they tend to get really nice to me for awhile after that. :funny:

I'm gonna buy Peter Pan tonight

I don't own a suit either. If I have to "dress up" for something I just wear a shirt, tie, and a pair of ironed pants.

I don't feel a need to buy clothes that much because I'm always in my work uniform, and any clothes I do get are usually shirts from the comic book store.

Every guy should own at least 1 suit. I mean at least for weddings and funerals and the occasional foreplay.

I own several very nice suits that I no longer fit in due to my weight lifting habit. Hope no one dies or gets married anytime soon as I'm not inclined to spend money on a new suit that would actually fit me, now. I can't buy off the rack without getting alterations, everything has to be tailored to fit.

Spoons owns them, he's just outgrown them lol.

To me, the goth, thug, rocker, etc...images are a young person's game. when I turned 25 I started wearing "regular" clothes, nothing special. I got rid of all my band T's and such.

I own a suit, though I only wore it once to my friend's wedding.

Band T's are good for laundry day, bumming around the house or running in, basically my last resort shirts

pyro's fat and has comical comic tshirts....

and noo suits.....

i'm physically shaken.

this whole site has relatively poor dress sense. The photo album thread is just one big faux pas.

Yeah, but I'm 25 so I can wear whatever the hell I want. And it's not like I'm obese, I just don't care for suits or dressing up.

I'm more comfortable in my shirts.

Don't you have cafe curtains to be putting up?

Haha, ok, to give into stereotypes here- this is a superhero message board. Of course a HEAP of people are going to wear comic t-shirts. What did you expect? :oldrazz:

well at the very least you should have a suit and a smart caszhe look going on.

again another point is alot of people complain about being uncomfortable in smart wear and that's usually because they dont get it tailored for them

well tailored clothes regardless are like second skin and don't generally give you that 'wearing' uniform feeling. They are flowing and light and breathable and very very comfortable.

i was only messing about your tub dude

yeah it's a shame

if you take away the logos you just have a pretty dull t-shirt

i wouldn't mind if they bought some nice fitting plain t-shirts and then got some stuff printed on them.

alas no.

Like i manage to pull off my comic book chic by simply having a star trek emblem badge on my satchel. It's understated and quirky yet i can get away with it because its an acessory(sp?) feature and not the focal point of my attire.

comics books aren't what we are, they are simply what we enjoy. let us not fall to the stereotypes....

I do have decent fashion sense, i spend a large part of my time watching those makeover programs and dress to my shape.

My girlfriend hates it because whenever she goes out shopping i always telling she's hulking out of a dress with her wide shoulders and should get A line cut dresses to give her better shape. It doesn't go down well...

:(
