OMD didn't wipe Venom out of existence. Just because Pete and MJ didn't get married doesn't mean Venom never showed up.

Venom still exists, and everything happened the way it did. OMD caused everybody who knew Spidey's identity to forget, so while Eddie Brock knew at the time of his past attacks on Spdier-Man, he has forgotten who he is now.

We don't know what OMD did and or didn't do. Since so much of what happened to Spider-Man is integral to the Marvel Universe we may never know what history is still valid and what isn't.

As far as I can tell, the only thing that we know that has changed is the forgetting of his identity (since OMD, see above) and that Harry survived the ambulance ride to the hospital.

You realize that you're completely wrong.

The only retroactive changes OMD made to Spidey's history are:
-changing Pete's relationship with MJ from husband/wife to boyfriend/girlfriend
-baby May was never conceived
-Harry survived at the end of SSM #200 instead of dying

Everything else still happened, though people may remember some things differently (e.g. Spidey still unmasked but nobody remembers).

yea....thats fake. the real picture is peter with his pockets empty. if he was wiped from existence, then Mac wouldnt be running around in the suit with the Thunderbolts.

Obviously, that pic is fake, as many of us who actually purchased the comic can clearly attest to...

And whether it makes you sleep easier at night to think of this new era as a "fake" one, that's fine... but the reality is that everything is going on in the Marvel Universe as always with the effects of OMD (ugh...) being a part of it.

Christ, if the fans had their way, Peter would be happily married to Betty Brant and we'd have neer known about any romantic possibilites between Peter & Gwen, or Mary Jane, or Felicia Hardy...

Stuff happens... Gwen died, Peter and MJ had their memories wiped, etc...

This is the stuff of fantasy that comic books are based on...

id like you to point out where the photoshop is in my scan (other than what was used to compile the picture in the first place). the only reason my picture might look funny is because i used my copy of ASM and i wasnt about to flatten it just for a clean scan. and i can tell you right now that the brown streaks underneath Venom in your pic are the faded legs of my Peter.
