The rules:
This thread will be in use for 5 days. Days 1-3 are strictly setup time for owners to post their battles, plead their cases, tell us their team’s strategies, breakdown the match ups, and do whatever else they can/want to do to try and convince you that their team would pull out a victory inside of 2 posts. Please, let the owners do this on their own with no help. Debating cannot begin until both owners post battles.

On Day 4, I will post and tell everyone that debating may begin. Each owner has one post to rebut their opponent's match, and another to correct any issues of their opponent's rebuttle. One 2 rebuttle posts are allowed for each opponent.

On Day 5, I will post and tell everyone that voting can begin. Any votes cast before I open voting will not count. Look over the matchups and read the strategies, and take into consideration how in-character each character is. Afterwards, use your best judgment to decide who you think has the best chance to win the match. (Note: The length of a writeup is at the discretion of the owner. Do not punish owners just for having a shorter writeup.)

To vote, rate each team's writeup and arguments between 1-10 (0 is reserved for non-writeups). The team you think will win should get the higher score (tie scores are not allowed). Remember to vote for all matches or your votes will not count! The teams with the highest point total at the end of the 7th day will get a W while the other will get an L. (Equal scores will result in a tie.)

Week 1:

Upon materializing into a blank slate of a room Doom Cosmically becomes aware of the peolpe around him:

Dr.Doom (Power Cosmic)
Misty (Seven Soldiers) - Backwards talk cigam
Mimic (eXiles) - Beast, Colossus, Cyclops, NorthStar, wolverine
Dream Girl
NorthStar (AoH)

And instantly realizes the potential...
Next a listin cluding only names and pictures appear:

Odd Alliance
Onslaught (Xavier/Magneto) (MU)
Rulk (MU)
New Son (MM)
Prince of Orphans (MR)
Blink (MR)

Victor: These are our opponents.. Common sense tells you everything about the Rulk and the Subtitle on Onslaught is a give away.

Mimic: NewSon easliy looks like Gambit from the x-men... And I know Blink... Intimately...

DreamGirl: None of them know me

Misty: or me.

Victor Von Doom then Radiates Cosmic Energy to spreading his Awareness, linking the teams' energies and aquainting everyone with each others pasts....

Victor: Yet again, I have had an epiphany. Mimic, you can Copy powers at 1/2 strength, BUT you can not copy the skills that someone has.... Misty please oblige me by saying, "ratshtron dna lirg maerd emoceb sa eno."...

Misty: ratshtron dna lirg maerd emoceb sa eno.

Northstar and Dream Girl, stunned and motionless as they are pulled together and morphed into one being...

Victor: Thank you, Young Lady... Still don't understand?:

Dream Girl: Trained with the Karate Kid in hand-to-hand fighting combound with her ability to glimpse seconds into the future made her a formidable short-term opponent in battle
Northstar: Moves and flies at superhuman speeds(up to Mach 10) and he has superhuman stamina, endurance, durability, and reflexes(while using his power). Northstar also has an advanced equilibrium, and exceptional agility and reaction time, which allows for him to make sharp turns. Northstar is also able to punch at great speeds, which grants him the ability to hurt even the Hulk!

Victor: And no need to pick up Dream Girls' Power, Mimic. With out training it'll do you no good.

Mimic: How do you plan on taking on Onslaught and Rulk?

Victor: You've no idea what plans I have. Misty, Say, "cihtapelet skcolb"

Misty: cihtapelet skcolb... so now we don't have to worry about telepathic intrutions

Instead of delaying things this week. We'll let both teams know that they will materialize one team on each of the twin towers(which was built in honor of all of the people who died and still suffer).

The teams will plan through out the night...

Battle:

NYC:

APPEARING:

As instructed, Misty: elbisivni! elbatcetednu!

As she disappears, NorthGirl grabs her and flies down the opposite side to an undisclosed lvl where she will watch the battle only communicating with Doom.

Blink Lights up multiple Teleporting spears and by Onslaughts command she begins tossing them as NorthGirl meets with Doom and Mimic between the buildings.

Before Blink teleports anyone to the AnnoyingSilence, Doom has instructed NorthGirl to focus her power to 10 seconds ahead and continuously circle himself and Mimic as to miss nothing.

NG: Rulk on Mimics back... 9... 8... We're flying fast down7... 6... 5... 4... You got NewSon3...

Doom: DIVE NOW!!!

As Rulk is teleported onto Mimics Back, Mimics puts all his force into gravities way... Reacting Onslaught pauses Blink, waiting and having the whole team teleported to Rulks crash site.

Doom Commands NG to stop looking towards the future and retrieve Misty(on the way down(they are hundreds of feet in the air) as Rulk squeezes Mimic with his legs and is meet by a Dooms thundering punch to the jaw, Seperating Mimic, sending Rulk tumbling into the very center of tower 1, Doom Following, Odd Alliance arriving at the Impact area....

(still on the outside, Mimic jets around the building, knowing this is not his battle)

As NG approaches an invisible, undetectable Misty, Misty: Boss says, "emoC ot mooD".

As the team teleports to Doom, Doom: NG!

Everyone shuts thier eyes as NG snaps his fingers (blinding The Rulk)(and coincidentally the rest of the Odd Alliance at the enterance of the crash). Doom Backs off of The Rulk as Mimic and NG quickly drag him out of the building, and toss him as far out the windows as possible.

Whispering to Mimic, NG: You got NewSon!

What people don't understand about Mimic having NorthStars power, theoritically Northstar can go 99% the speed of light. now, half that is still crazy fast with crazy reflexes and agility, plus Mimic has his increased durability from colossus' armor to aid.

Focusing on the unknown Orphan Prince, Misty: "tsuj lamron".

Unable to locate the unknown girl, Onslaught creates an Concentrated magnetic field and leaps to the astral plane, thoroghly checking the area he finds the blank spot, Yanks mistys presence into the plane and kills her.

Sensing this energy in the air, Victor focus' on it, knowing Xaviers telepathy just like all powers is an energy. And as such Victor Von Doom can maniplulate it through the very power that makes the cosmos, sending a paralizing shock to Onslaughts mind, dropping his shield.

NorthGirl and Mimic Vs. NewSon, Orphan(no powers) and Blink

As Onslaughts magnetic field drops, NG swoops in, knocks Blink into an open area and makes quick work of a "normal" Orphan. Dodging NewSons attack.

As planned, Blink teleports next to Onslaught and is unexpectedly WHOOMPED by a circling Mimic with a knock out blow(his whole focus in knocking her out to clear her from battle, leaving himself open), which in return and in the same manner, NewSon after building his energy explodes leaving nothing from the opening to the middle of the skyscraper.... But Doom.

Mimic is injuried, but Doom with his own fore-sight has readied himself to absorb the kinetic energy that Gambit has released, energizing the board that zipps through the mid section of NewSon... the board doesn't return...

Onslaught wretchs the board from the air, creating a wormhole in the middle of the board, distrupting the connecting between Doom and itself.

Doom: Mimic, Get him!!!

Onslaught turns his attention as Such, but is met from behind by NG whos is beating on his back is actually causing some damage to the armor of Onslaught stunning him, Mimic joins in with much harder hits. In retaliation a massive burst of magnetically/telepathically charged energy bubble rips through the tower, a desperate move for a surrounded warrior, now exhausted from the tantrum.
Doom lays motionless as the two speedsters are unaffected(Before the Release, NG grabbed Mimic and they flew to safety on the opposite side of the building outside). As the tower begins to sway Mimic beats on the already weakened Onslaught while NG grabs Dooms body. Onslaught goes the way of the tower and is done..

NorthGirl: Rulk in: 3 seconds...

2... 1..., Mimic: this is gonna be nuts.!

Red: Rulk MAD! HA HA HA!

Bolting into Tower 2, With one huge punch, Red hits the enormous concrete/rebar construct, smashing a major bend, tembering the building into the Hudson River.

Red: No More Air Time!

Mimic: NG, rest somewhere with Doom and reset yourself. HERE I COME BIG BOY!!!!!!

Mimic Vs. The Red Hulk

Nearing the pavement, Mimic begins firing at the Rulk, it may not damage him much, but it'll keep him moving, not settling down for an explosive attack...
Keeping a good distance between them while circling and dodging mimic only works to aggrevate the Rulk so to throw him off his game as the battle starts.
Barreling at each other, Mimic(knowing his speed is the advantage) Dodges the first punch, connecting with the Rulks diaphram(claws extented), The Rulk gasps as Mimic circles quickly, shuving both fists of claws into the back of his knee(again circling), Rulk grabs his knee, Mimic connects again on his lower back, but the Rulk adjusts to the speed, grabbing Mimic, throwwing him into the cities Sewer System. Dropping into the hole, Rulk is only tackled in mid air into the sewer wall(then jets off to mimic).

NorthGirl: Dooms board returned from outter space, has revived Doom. Regain your breathe.

NorthGirl Vs. The Red Hulk

As you can imagine, as weak as NG maybe compaired to Red, NG is far faster in everyway and with extensive training(Acrobats/MartialArts), doesn't even need to use her precognitive powers to see Rulks punch, easily distracting Rulk while Doom rejuvenates Mimic.

Dr.Doom, Mimic and NorthGirl Vs. The Red Hulk

Mimic joins the fight again, easily tipping the extended melee into something more alarming.

Mimic: Boss says start watching.

Seconds go by as the two speedsters have thier way with The Red Hulk, NG: Move!

(They do)

Doom having backed himself all the way to the dead end of the sewer erupts out of the darkness to wallup Rulk with a SuperDenseEnergyPunch... Knocking the Rulk out

AnnoyingSilence Wins

AnnoyingSilence
Doctor Doom (Power Cosmic)
Misty (Seven Soldiers)
Mimic (Exiles)
Dream Girl
Northstar (Agent of Hyra)

Prep-Time

The Odd Alliance would appear and they wouldn't know each other from Adam. However, while all but one of them are semi-villains to full fledged villains, none of them are savage and I believe that they'd take the time to figure out what's going on, etc. I envision Onslaught taking charge quickly. Blink would likely follow without any problem, and I figure New Son and Prince of Orphans would reluctantly follow, knowing themselves outmatched. Rulk would likely cause some issue but I don't see him pulling anything that would upset Onslaught's leadership and, in the end, Rulk would subside. If anything, these acceptances would be in part due to Onslaught's mental abilities in some occasions, if even necessary. Once everyone realizes that they will be in a battle and figure out who their opponents are I see them working together for their own preservation.

Now, the question is... who knows who for the best of preparations?

The Odd Alliance

Onslaught and Rulk would recognize Doom in a heartbeat, though him with the surf board would tell them that there's more to him. The thing is, Rulk has not only battled and defeated the Silver Surfer, he also has the ability to drain him of the Power Cosmic that Doom may potentially now have, which would then leave Rulk with the Power Cosmic. Onslaught would also recognize Mimic and Northstar, though not these renditions. Dream Girl and Misty would be complete question marks. Honestly, Misty's a mystery to me too as not a single bio gives any detail on how her magic works, but just skimming a bit of AS's write up to get an idea of how she works tells me that she's similar to Zatanna, so I'll play her that way. The main benefit here is the recognition of AS's most powerful member, and the easy method of defeating him.

AnnoyingSilence

Doom would be no help here as, according to my research, he had the Power Cosmic around FF 50-something or something early like that... so being that everyone on my team came along after that, he'd know none of them. He likely see the Magneto resemblance in Onslaught and plan for it, but he'd have no idea Xavier is the driving force behind him. So none would know to plan for telepathy. He, Northstar, and Mimic would likely recognize Rulk as a red version of the Hulk (such as the Hulk has green and grey versions). This would put them on the right track, but it would severely handicap them in being unaware of how different Rulk is from Hulk. Mimic would recognize Blink, though she would appear different to him. He'd be familiar with the loving heroic Blink from the Exiles... he wouldn't expect this psychopath. New Son and Prince of Orphans would be complete mysteries to all of them.

So the plan would be made in preparation for the coming battle. Onslaught himself isn't a bad strategist, but combine him with Rulk, who is a military strategist, as well as with New Son, who is also fairly decent leadership material, and the Odd Alliance has a pretty good basis for coming up with a good plan. AnnoyingSilence also has some good minds in Doom and Mimic, but being that Mimic is super heroic, and Doom is the direct opposite, I really don't see them doing well in a planning process. I'm sure something would come of it, but I don't see everyone following orders all that well. But that's just my opinion.

The Battle Begins

So the day comes for the battle. I envision Onslaught reaching out his mind to find them, which seems the quickest and easiest path. I don't think there'd be any reason for Doom's crew to protect against this so this should give them away easily. If for some reason they do protect their minds using Misty's magic, as well as Mimic's telepathy (I believe he's using it here), there's still a possibility that Onslaught's mind is powerful enough to overcome it. He easily overpowers Mimic's telepathy, being that Mimic is 50% of Jean Grey and Onslaught overpowered Jean at 100%. Misty's magic would be a better defense, but again, why would the team protect from telepathy when they don't know they're facing it? As for Doom's team, I figure Misty would use some locating spell that would direct them. Either way, I don't see there being much playing or stealth here... it'd basically be track and confront. I see Doom staying back while sending in the rest to begin the battle in some pre-determined plan, and I see Onslaught staying back as well, sending the others in to begin their battle. I also see Doom keeping Dream Girl with him to prepare for any unforeseen attack. This would benefit them, but not prevent the first and most important task of the Alliance.

Rulk vs Doom & Blink vs Dream Girl

As soon as the battle begins Blink will teleport she and Rulk right up to Doom. Dream Girl will foresee this a moment before it happens, enough to warn Doom of Rulk and Blink's coming, however, the attack is quick. Having seen Dream Girl with Doom, Blink shows up and blinks her away while dropping off Rulk, leaving Rulk and Doom alone, Rulk already pressing the battle. Doom's easy defeat here is due to his lack of knowledge of what Rulk can do with the Power Cosmic. He will blast at Rulk, but Rulk will absorb it and quickly drain Doom of every ounce of Power Cosmic that he possesses. Doom, being shocked, would then be smashed by Rulk, his own power dramatically enhanced by the Power Cosmic.

Something like this:

RedHulkSilverSurfer.jpg

Followed by something like this:

rulk-vs-ross-l.jpg

Doom with the Power Cosmic is a formidable opponent to anyone, but Rulk is just the right person to take him down quickly. And now with Doom down and the AnnoyingSilence team's main lead severed in the first few moments of the battle, it falls to the pawns to pick up where he's left off.

The first part of the plan having been fulfilled, the next portion of the plan would be to distract the knowns, and to quickly take out the unknowns. Northstar is a speedster, which unleashes a tremendous amount of kinetic energy, and thus, New Son is assigned to deal with him. And Mimic is a powerhouse, and so Onslaught himself begins messing with Mimic's mind from a distance, as well as telekinetically and magnetically battling him.

Prince of Orphans vs Blink & Dream Girl

Having gotten away from Doom and Rulk, Blink and DreamGirl show up below, but just before Blink could destroy Dream Girl, she dodges the touch (thanks to her precognitive powers) and with a few well placed blows, takes Blink out fairly easily.

Having seen the martial arts used and Blink taken out, the Prince of Orphans quickly reaches them in his mist form and stands between his ally and his foe. He challenges her in combat, himself one of the best martial artists in the marvel universe. I'd imagine a pretty good fight with Dream Girl up in the beginning thanks to her power, but the Prince of Orphans isn't without power himself. He turns into his mist form so that, even if Dream Girl can predict his moves, she can't lay a finger on him. I think the Prince would begin to notice her anticipation and would then quicken his strikes. His speed is amazing in mist form, appearing in multiple places at once at times, and so though she could see what would come, she is not quick enough to stop it. There comes every likability that she foresees her own downfall before it even comes, finally struck down by a blow several lifetimes practiced and defined.

Onslaught & Rulk vs Mimic & Misty

I see Mimic really struggling with Onslaught's invasion of his mind and body. He cannot turn metal like colossus due to the Magnetic powers, and so he was relying on his other powers. However, I also see Misty noticing this. The little girl was to be a target, but with Blink taken out so quickly she became unattended to, and in seeing Onslaught's power, she speaks (as I assume she does according to the quick scans of her in AS's write up).

Misty - "Eutats a fi sa!"

And suddenly the great, towering Onslaught becomes stone, trapping his body, though his mind is still free. But such shock overcomes him by this sudden transformation, that he hesitates. He likely could have overcome this state with ease, but seeing his advantage, Mimic unleashes his full Optic blast, shattering the form of Onslaught. Without X-Man's added power, or Franklin's ability to warp reality, I don't see Onslaught being able to survive as an energy from as he did in Onslaught: Marvel Universe. And so I foresee a great telepathic whale through everyone present, hurting them all, but the cry would fade to silence with the departing of Onslaught himself.

Still dazed by Onslaught's attack, and the mental echo, the Mimic is quickly pounced upon by Rulk, who is now Power Cosmically powered. The force knocks Mimic to the ground. Both can fly now, so the Mimic doesn't have much of an advantage here and before much can be done he Mimic's head is turned backwards, his body convulsing... then dead.

Horrified by what she's just seen, Misty yells...

"Pots!"

to which Rulk stops suddenly. She is ready to finish him off in some way, but that way will never be known, as a quick swift chop to the back of the head renders her unconscious. A man radiating green mist had see her abilities against Onslaught, and now Rulk, and was quick to silence her as softly as he could (her being a child and him being a good man). Rulk comes out of his state and wants to beat the girl but the Prince of Orphans stands his ground and Rulk lets it go. No use in messing with an already unconscious girl now.

They look around, all of it seeming done. The Prince of Orphans reminds Rulk of the two absent members, the final battle.

New Son vs Northstar

I wish this final battle could be epic in some way but it really wouldn't be. Basically, kinetic energy is the energy given off by movement and such things. Northstar, obviously, would give off tons of kinetic energy. And thus, New Son targeted and took off after the speedster. The fight is long because of his inability to focus on his target, but feeling the kinetic energy building up around him, he begins to charge it. He takes Northstar's kinetic energy, dropping him to the ground, and as he hits, all the kinetic energy charged in the air around him explodes, nearly killing him. As he tries to get up, his skin burnt and missing in placing, a limb or two severed, New Son approaches and simply charges the man's body, blowing him to pieces.

And so the last of the AnnoyingSilence is felled, leaving New Son, Rulk, and the Prince of Orphans standing the victorious.

Winner - The Odd Alliance

FYI:

When I mentioned I skimmed AS's write up to see how Misty worked, I litterally looked for Misty's name, saw that she spoke backwards, and went with it. I didn't actually read any of the story as to going into my write up without worrying about what I'd have read.

didn't know that about the rulk...

(this'll be my debate post)

why is everything double posted

You've already posted your write up. You can't go and change it now that I've posted my write up. That's against the rules isn't it?

In fact, isn't it against the rules to even edit the post once posted (for reasons of not being able to change the story due to what may come later) or was that only in the Contest of Marvels? I mean, it doesn't seem fair that you wrote the story and then after I wrote mine, you go in and edit yours to reflect mine!

(Such as suddenly adding Rulk's trying to drain Doom in the end there when it wasn't previously the case... when you originally just had Doom knock him out).

Dang, you completely took down nearly your whole post. Are you allowed to just rewrite it in reflection of your opponant's write up?

If I knew that I wouldn't have posted mine until last minute.

what a cry baby.

besides, dont be so confident to think i that i would change anything because of your write-up.

after reading a couple books i though i knew it all(specially since he never used any special powers if his first SEVERAL issues.), but reading his bio changed it all

I'm more concerned that you wrote your entire write up and posted it, completely under using Rulk, as well as other mistakes. And then suddenly it's deleted and you're rewriting the write up.

If it's not against rules then so be it, but if it is, then you should probably put up the original one again. I just don't recall if that was a rule in the DTL or if it was just in the Contest of Marvels.

first of all, you've lost your mind. 2:the story is back up.

i didn't down play Rulk by far(he was beaten THROUGHLY and for a LONG TIME).

The Immortals are comprised of:

Xavier as the Juggernaut – he conquered his world and not only was he the most supreme physical ‘hero’ of that world he was also able to develop the greatest mind having linked with all the great minds in his universe such as Reed, Pym, Stark and Banner. He defeated all the other heroes having developed a gas which took away their super powers.

Sodom Yat as a Green Lantern – this guy is a Daxamite with superman like powers as well as having the powers of a powerful green lantern destined to become Ion.

Black Queen Selene – She is a psychic vampire that can enslave people with her mind, drain their life forces enhancing herself, as well as being able to disguise herself as others. She also can do magic.

Wolverine as Death – This is Wolverine with enhancements. He carries a sword which is able to use to channel immensely powerful energy bolts. He also has some sort of cloaking ability, which also shielded him from telepathy. Wolverine as Death was also able to tap into telepathic conversations and teleport.

Midnighter – He is the ultimate street level fighter with superhuman speed, strength, stamina, resilience as well as an ability to predict exactly how a battle will go before he throws the first punch.

The prep time will have the team devising a strategy using Sodam Yat's knowledge of Zatanna, Gorilla Grodd and Zauriel. Xavier and Death Wolverine will have knowledge of the others.

The team will know their biggest threat is Zatanna but as powerful as she is, she can only speak with human speed. Xavier asserts that Sodam has to blitz her knowing he can take on another version of himself. Among the regulars, Zauriel seems to be a difficult adversary but one which Death feels he wants to take on.

The Battle

As soon as the battle starts, Sodam Yat flies in at super speed (close to the speed of light) and gags Zatanna instantly within a fraction of a second, then knocking her out.

Xavier Juggernaut and the Juggernaut go after each other. As they battle they realise they are evenly matched. However, Xavier using his mind realises he needs to take off Marko's helmet which he does eventually with the help of Sodam who arrives. Thereafter, Marko with no psychic protection falls under the telepathic might of Xavier.

Selene fights Grodd disguised as Zatanna. Their telepathic battle starts off difficultly for Selene but she gets stronger while draining Gorila Grodd as the battle continues. She does not even resort to magic using her other powers to take this match. SHe however does not enjoy the taste of Grodd's psychic essence.

Midnighter fights Captain America and realises what moves he has to do to win but also realises that the moves would take hours upon hours. He however continues hoping for a chnage in the one they call Captian America.

Death has great difficulty against Zauriel but keeps the battle going using his cloaking powers and great healing abilities striking here and there with energy blasts. He teleports away trying to avoid Zauriel's scream. However, he is in a losing battle and it is only through the help of Sodam Yat who flies in with Xavier that he finally puts him down.

Xavier also puts down Captain America using his mind.

The Immortals do have greater fire power and they would know how to use it.

Death Wolverine and Midnighter will have difficulties but with their healing and Midnighter's procognitave abilities should be able to hold them off until one of the Ubers come help which should seal the case.

Cap – ‘It must be that time…albeit a little later than anticipated from previous tournaments.’

They look around the team. Faces of the old team and a new face.

Cap – ‘Marko…is that you?’
Juggernaut – ‘I doubt it. There’s only one Juggernaut.’

Battles

The five look up to see their opponents dispersed across the skies. A green ball of energy comes flying towards Zatanna.

Zauriel – ‘It’s a Lantern’

Cap – ‘He’s aiming for Zatanna!’

Juggernaut steps in front of the mage and intercepts Yat by his head. He spins the Lantern over his shoulder and embeds his skull into the floor. The green energy quickly fades.

Cap – ‘Spread out’

Zauriel takes to the skies. He taps into his connections with the heavens. They give him insight and guidance. Knowing where his opponent is he heads down to the surface to face a prepared Selene. However, as he nears the ground Wolverine appears from his cloak and swings for Zauriel. The angel reacts at a rapid speed and his sword parries against the Adamantium. The force of the impact creates a ripple of energy which sends both hurtling in different directions. Selene stand above the downed angel.

Selene – ‘Almost not worth you coming’

She reaches into his mind only to be crippled and brought to her knees. The link to heaven is too much for the telepaths mind and the inner noise leaves her clutching her head…
Elsewhere Wolverine picks himself up from the snowy environment. Grodd stands a few metres away from the X-man.

He tries his hand at telepathy but somehow his powers are blocked by Xavier Juggernaut so opts for physical combat.

Its animal versus animal. Grodd runs expecting an instant victory, he digs in deep and launches his fists at Logan. Wolverine lowers his body to all fours and pushes off from his legs. He spirals and dodges his arm. He unsheathes his claws and slices through Grodd’s flesh. The gorilla screams and clutches his arm. Turning his body he jumps back towards Logan only to hit air. The cloak is back on and Grodd is mentally blocked trying to locate him. More and more blades slash from all sides until the gorilla is weakened through blood loss. Wolverine stands over the gorilla and watches his breathing speed up and cut out.

Cap runs up and tries to spring an attack on Wolverine. His shield crashes down on the claws. Cap and Wolverine begin to exchange blows, however Cap has the upper hand with his super soldier serum and knocks Wolverine out with a powerful full face strike.

Juggernaut and Xavier have interlocked hands and are at a standstill with their battle. Zatanna is on hand to take out Juggernaut with her magic. As she approaches Midnighter intercepts her and strikes her square in the jaw. She falls to the floor clutching a potentially broken jaw. Midnighter laughs as he stands over the uber mage.

Midnighter – ‘That wasn’t too hard’

SLAM!!!!

A blur of red, white and blue hurtles through the air smashing into Midnighter’s temple. The shield returns to Cap who is following the shields trajection with a flying kick to finish the vigilante off.

Zatanna – ‘laeh’ She barely mutters the word but soon has full control of her jaw.

Both Heroes and Zauriel reform to assist Juggernaut with his attack. Xavier is currently in the throws of removing Marko’s helmet. Zauriel and Cap move in for a physical assault with weapons. Xavier turns his attention towards the winged angel and grabs his leg.

He launches him across the sky and runs after him. His momentum picks up as he covers a large section of ground. Zauriel gets to his feet and turns his body towards the large behemoth of a man running towards him. His Sonic Scream is released from his throat. This slows Xavier but not by much. Zatanna casts spells to help.

Zatanna – ‘etativel’ Xavier is lifted off the ground and hanging hopelessly. He hits Zatanna with a barrage of mind blasts. She loses her concentration and Xavier falls to the ground again. Juggernaut has reached him at this point and grabs him by the leg. He starts to spin gathering more and more momentum. He launches Xavier off the ground with Zatanna pushing him with magic.

Zatanna – ‘ezeerf’ Xavier is encased in ice and slams into the floor. The battle is finally won and the Heroes are victorious in a very rushed and sloppy battle.

Firstly, I don't know how Batman is expected to function with this team. He's the lone hero among villains, and he's honor is on par with his namesake. If anything, he'll work against them, even during prep-time. This makes him a liability to the team.

Secondly, all the villains of this team are destined to clash. The fallout between Fernus and Kang alone over who better to lead will be epic.

Now, one might argue Exodus wouldn't get along with the rest of my team. But Exodus actually sees himself as a hero. A hero for mutants, but a hero. Probably the only one on the team he'd have an immediate problem with is Spidey because Pete knows his history.

In the actual battle, who fights whom is pretty much predetermined, and the teams are fairly evenly matched. Exodus against the Martian, Flash vs Flash, Beetle against Kang, Batman against Boy Blue, and Devil-Slayer vs Spidey.

The Flash matchup is rather even. Yes, Walter had more experience than Wally, but Wally's been a Flash for a long time since their last encounter and his powers have grown. He can take on enemies like Zoom now. This is one of those fights that'll be over in a few seconds or never.

White Martians are incredibly powerful. Even without their telepathy, they'd be more than a match for Superman. But Exodus is a telepath too. In fact, he's one of the most powerful mutants on Earth. And besides telepathy, he has telekinesis, teleportation, the ability to create protective shields, can drain the Fernus' psionic energy, and can quickly hear from even 'lethal' injuries. The Martian will fall leaving Exodus free to fight, or help fight, Walter (assuming Wally hasn't already won).

The Beetle/Kang fight will be surprisingly even. The advantage does go towards Kang with his massive experience. But technologically, the Scarab and it's ability to analyze and adapt instantly will keep him in this fight. If Jamie can come up with a way to defeat the Reach, who had countless plans for countless scenarios developed over countless years, in a relatively short amount of time, he can come up with someway to fight Kang during prep-time. Especially with Spidey's help and knowledge of Kang. Does Jamie need to win by himself? Not necessarily, because help will come.

Spidey is actually the perfect one to go up against because of the ever-lovin' spider-sense of his. Combine that with the abilities of that nifty armor Tony gave him, and he can keep himself alive despite whatever Slayer might pull out of his cape.

Similarly, Boy Blue is perfect against Batman because the Witching Cloak can pretty much protect him from anything. With it he can also teleport and store any number of weapons (from Kryptonian guns they find to the Vorpal Blade).

The first match to finish will probably be the Flashes. But no matter who wins that, they're going to be stuck doing nothing because Exodus will make sure he and the Martian are fighting outside New Krypton's protective dome (he can teleport them there). And since ubers can only fight each other in the beginning, the surviving Flash has to wait around for this match to end. And Exodus should win it because of his advantages over Fernus.

At this point, if Walter beat Wally, there's no way for him to fight Exodus. The mutant could just float outside the city and attack Walter mentally (he's taken down speedsters before). Once Walter is down, Exodus is free to take help the rest of the team. Really, the only one who should pose a problem is Kang. And that's only if he beats Jamie before Exodus arrives.

However it exactly plays out, it's going to be a dominoe effect. The Jailbait's ubers won't win. And while the other two may only be able to play out for time, Boy Blue should be able to beat Batman because he hasn't faced anyone like him before. And even a couple of potential lower level victories by Jailbait won't be enough to get them a win over Exodus (and Wally).
