Holy. Crap. It's actually happening.:wow:
I honestly kept thinking this was on the same development level as Ghostbusters 3. I'm genuinely surprised by this. :yay:

Eh I don't want them rehashing the same jokes. That's what the original is for. I want them to do something new.

I'm actually starting to gain serious interest in this, it could be Jim Carrey's big comeback.

That shot of Carrey's chipped tooth could serve as a teaser poster. Bring it. :applaud

Universal and Red Granite's Dumb and Dumber sequel is rounding out its cast by adding Laurie Holden, Steve Tom and Rachel Melvin.

Directed by Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly, Dumb and Dumber To catches up with the dimwitted best friends Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) 20 years later as they hit the road to find Harry's illegitimate daughter for a kidney transplant.

The Farrelly brothers will produce with Red Granite’s Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland along with Bradley Thomas and Charlie Wessler.

The new additions to the cast will play the Pichlow family.

Walking Dead star Holden is not the female lead, but in a key role will play Adele Pichlow, who is secretly poisoning her husband, Dr. Pichlow (Tom) so she can run off with his money. Her nefarious plans also include killing off her step-daughter Penny (Melvin), Lloyd and Harry so she can run off with the family's handyman unscathed.

Holden will play Adele Pichlow, the well to do wife of a doctor who is up to no good and who plans to use Harry and Lloyd to cover her tracks.

Cool nice to see a little Majestic reunion between Holden and Carrey.

Holden

I'm pretty excited for this, but like someone said, I hope they don't rehash the same jokes. This is why I'm cautiously approaching the Anchorman sequel.

Peter Farrelly said in an interview that he and Bobby took a loooong time writing this - like years. This is the one project they won't screw up, in my opinion. After an abysmal track record since 1998 (seriously, was anything they did after There's Something About Mary memorable?), I don't think they can afford to mess this up. I genuinely think this will be something special, and it won't re-hash anything.

And as a nice little bonus, they had old Three Stooges episodes playing in the background every time they sat down to write the script, to loosen up and get inspiration. :yay:

Holy ****, this is actually happening?! I'm so goddamn happy. Like many, I thought this was 'Ghostbusters 3' territory.

Ex-Ci-Ted.

I don't think anything else will ever reach Ghostbusters 3 territory.

That is a trip how much they look the same as they did back then.

Lol.

Carrey looks like Spock's goofy brother.
