I knew Punk was going through motions but I didn't know he was upset enough to walk out.

I'm just going to say Triple H has been somewhat of a failure as an executive. Some new guys have been pushed and he's mended some burned bridges and signed some old names back but the current roster and the storylines are in bad shape. His two big NEW signings Sin Cara and Awesome Kong were failures. Bryan's been held down and CM Punk may have walked out of the company.

They are more concerned with giving past their prime part timers primo spots on the card even when they don't show results. Lesnars been the only one worth a ****. I do give him credit for luring back big names and putting ego aside for business. But WWE is too hung up on short term solutions for long term problems. They should be building new stars but they've blown some big chances. Now Triple H Is still giving his buddies and people associated with him nice gigs. The Outlaws can still go but they should be putting over younger stars. Triple H is more concerned with what he wants then what the audience wants.

Bryan working with Sheamus is a step down for him. A huge one. He's too hot for that right now. Punk should have been in bigger higher profile stuff too. Maybe also doing more with Triple H. Love Kane but this stuff is beneath Punk. He's a top guy.

I wanted to give Triple H and Vince the benefit of the doubt and believe this Bryan stuff was leading somewhere but more and more I wonder if they are leading DB along with promises of bigger things all the while what they are sayin is how they really feel. Like they are getting a laugh at stringing Bryan along when they know they are never going to push him. I'm not saying he should be the guy but he could be one of the top guys they way even Foley and Angle were.

As it is Punk should have gone over Haitch or Orton at Mania even if it was non title and even if Bryan did win the Rumble he NEEDED to beat Batista in a world title match at Mania. That would've been vindication. I was hoping that's where it was headed. Now they have Bryan with boring as hell Sheamus. Ugh.

TNAs crap too. They've lost AJ. Huge loss. Dixie is more concerned with promoting herself

At least now THEY have to give some younger guys the ball because they don't have a choice.

the only way to make Batista's RR win work is to turn him heel and reveal that the Authority brought him back and had him win so that Punk or Bryan wouldn't.

play up on the nepotism/favoritism angle.

there's no way Batista can continue as a face.........

and tbh.......Lesnar hasn't been booked too impressively, either.

but that's the nature of these part timers who only work a certain number of dates.

Glad to have you back Metallo  It's a shame that it's under the current circumstances.

I was at Punk's Portland Comic Con and I didn't feel the need to relay the information until he departed from WWE. There are two key parts of his Q&A that stand out in retrospect.

1. He was very upset about Batista getting the WrestleMania main event, which pretty much spoiled the Royal Rumble. He clarified he was friends with "Dave" and that "they" would not be happy, but he wanted to be honest and it was Daniel Bryan's year. Actually, he said Bryan Danielson but corrected quickly.

2. He was very disinterested in the current product. Asked about promos he defeatedly made comments like "I show up. Someone tells me what to do and I just go out do it and leave." He implied his recent work was not good and was down to only using two moves a match.

Punk was very nice, engaged, and happy with his fans but in regards to wrestling and WWE he was definitely despondent and unhappy.

Powell's POV: Punk has been down on WWE and his own performances for months now, so this is very consistent with what he has been telling friends. Punk's frustration over Batista getting the WrestleMania main event is no surprise, as he was initially critical of The Rock getting WrestleMania main events as well. And, well, he's not blind in the sense that many of us felt that Bryan winning the Rumble and going on to challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30 was the obvious move to make.

I was happy big Dave was back but not at the expense of others. Hes a face but he looks like an orange skinned, muscularly deflated, tatted up plastic surgery nightmare version of himself. He's not the old Batista. He looks like a mutant out of Dark Knight Returns. It's laughable. He had one raw and wins the rumble. The buildup was crap.

It's obvious Punk was being misused. If I were him I might quit too. It's not worth the bs. They blew a chance to use punks heat and now they are doing it again with Bryan. They want them there because they draw but don't want to reward them or maximize their drawing potential with higher profile spots on the card. It's F'ed Up. The guys that work hard to keep the machine going and get over get pushed aside for part timers. The full time guys don't even get fair chances to show they can draw on the big shows. It'd be one thing if they did and then failed but they put Bryan (and Punk) in big matches with poor buildup where we all knew the outcome wouldn't be good enough. Build him right with the right opponents and then see if he can draw. What's someone like Sheamus done to show he deserves to work with one of the hottest stars in the company like Bryan? They use Bryan to give Sheamus the rub when he should go over lesser guys then be used to build Bryan That's WWE ass backwards thinking right now.

Yeah thanks. Good to talk to all you guys. Sadly I might not be around much because I'm so unenthused with the product. Didn't care much with watching before now I'm at an all time low.

Exactly. After Monday I don't see how Batista can be a face. Fans are going to be on his ass because they want Bryan. Big dave also acted like a jerk. Batista should be the Authority's guy. It makes too much sense. The Authority. Jesus it's the family pushing themselves AGAIN. sign of the big problem when the show revolves around them. It was better when it was called the Corporation and the McMahon-Helmsley era. It's just a lamer rehash of crap they did 10-15 years ago.

I'm so damn tired of the evil authority figure angle in the big two. Give it a rest. We've seen it all. It's not clever of compelling anymore. We've see it too much.

I can't blame you. This situation with CM punk could be the final straw for me. They need to do something quick because I don't even want to watch wm for ten dollars at this moment.

Unless next week on Raw they drop a bombshell...

Did you see what Batista did after the PPV? Where he flipped the bird and cussed fans out?

holy flurking schnit :wow:

Holy crap,welcome back Metallo.

If TNA was run like a like decent promotion they could of easily pick up all these talented wrestlers the WWE neglects. It's a shame.

I wouldn't be surprised to see CM Punk run his own wrestling promotion again one day. Heyman said in the best in the world film that Punk was interested in learning a lot of the behind the scenes of the business.

plus....didn't Steph and HHH kind of tease it when they called Batista they're "good friend"?

it makes perfect sense to go that route and make Batista heel.....

as a result......the WWE won't do it...........:o

Man, if Billionaire Ted ever got back into the wrestling business and wanted to buy TNA, I'd know exactly how to advise him. It would involve bringing in Punk, of course, but Kevin Nash as well.

No, fu** that! You stay your ass on this board and argue with me like a man!

:cwink:

Good to have you back. We were getting worried about you.

Perhaps Punk just ordered the number 3 off the WWE's value menu.

Maybe Punk's plan is to leave for a few years, film some movies, then come back part time that way he can be given the Wrestlemania main event and a complimentary WWE title run.

If you can't beat 'em join 'em, right?
