Eckhart Eyeing Green Lantern?

Caviezel is too broody, Wahlberg is too short, and Marsden just sucks as an actor unless some other guy is taking his woman away....Hal Jordan should be a cocky, good looking guy...the type of guy that men want to be and women want to be with

After seeing TDK, I'd give Eckhart another comic movie role.

Marvel, get him for character other than the duo Avenger (Thor, Cap). Perhaps Pym? Or Marc Spector aka Moon Knight aka Marvel's White Knight.

**** Moon Knight....I got into a big argument with someone because they were upset that the Marve Legends figure was the wrong color.....be happy you even GOT a Moon Knight figure

Haha, like Batman who can have shades of black, gray, or blue in his costume, MK can have shades of white, black, silver, or brownish-chrome. There's no right or wrong unless you put in Iron Man's red or Cap's blue.

Eh... I was always hoping for Edward Burns to play GL.

I will never understand the Caviezel for Green Lantern thing.

To speak for myself for a minute, he looks the part and is a good enough actor to where I think he could pull it off.

Personally, I've never been able to get into the more popular suggestions of Fillion and Duhamel.

I don't dispute the man's abilities as an actor, but I don't feel he's the right actor. I've seen him in "The Thin Red Line", "Frequency", "The Count of Monte Cristo" and of course "Passion of the Christ", and while I thought he was good in these films (even if he did spend most of Passion covered in blood), they did not give me the impression that he could do the persona of Hal Jordan. And despite having a chiseled, heroic face, Jim doesn't look all that much like Hal (and I'm not just talking the difference in hair color).

I could see Jim as Superman, Batman, Cyclops, I could even see Jim as Namor the Sub-Mariner, but I can't see him as Hal Jordan.

Personally, I've never been able to get into the more popular suggestions of Fillion and Duhamel.
I didn't even know Duhamel was a popular suggestion for Hal, didn't even see him recommended for the part until a few nights ago. Fillion is a popular choice because he meets Hal's visual requirements and played a character with a similar personality on "Firefly", Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds, and played it to great effect.

The reason why I've never really been crazy about Fillion is because I don't really see much of a physical resemblance between and the way Hal Jordan is drawn. I think it is primarily his face.

This "rule" is only in the minds of fanboys. If WB wanted him for the role he'd get it. And your average joe moviegoer wouldn't care that he had played Two-Face.

You know, I was watching "Thank You For Smoking" and Eckhart's character in that reminded me of Hal. With some brown hair dye he might not make a bad Hal after all.

my bet is on aaron being the big green.:bh:

I can't see Eckhart as Hal (even though he is awesome). My choices would be Sam Worthington, Jamie Bamber or David Boreanaz.

Worthington is a good actor, he's just far to young looking for the role IMO.

Bamber or Boreanaz would be great.

I could deal with Bamber or Boreanaz....Boreanaz is getting up there though...

i know alot of folks with like fillon as hal but didnt he say in an interview awhile back he doesnt want to do gl or hero films.

Yeah but didn't a while back Eckhart say he wouldn't do a superhero movie either, and look at him now. Money does talk louder than your own feelings I suppose

If Two Face is truly dead in Nolans uiniverse, then I can definitely see Eckhart as potential Jordan candidate if they cast older. If they go older Eckhart and Caviezal for me. If they go younger, I can see Edward Burns doing a good job, but he would have to lose that thick New York Bronx accent for once.

I'd personally prefer to see Jim Caviezal, Mark Wahlberg, or James Marsden as Hal Jordan. And looking at that picture Avatar posted earlier of Caviezal, I'm think he may be the best choice at the moment.

The three I woudn't mind would be Caviezal, Eckhart and Burns.

Wahlberg would be a horrible choice IMO.
