if i understand correctly the characters in heroes get thier powers due to a solar eclipse how is that supposed to be possible?:wish:

If that is actually the show's premises, then I look forward to the show's explanation and story.

Maybe the sun was momentairily eclipsed by a certain type of meteor. It filtered the suns rays, having a highly mutinagenic effect on individuals with the right type of DNA.

then how would an organization like the one the cheerleader's dad works for know about the dead doctor's research?

we need to wait, dammit

The characters have the powers prior to the eclipse, so that rules it out. I'm sure it has another meaning, but we need to wait and stop wishing all is explained in 1 pilot episode.

They had their powers beforehand. The existence of such was around beforehand. As of now we can surmise that it was a dramatic tool used for symbolism. "Dawning of a new era" "Great change" "Something wonderful and rare occuring" "Key point in history"

Arguably if the show can last long term, they'll likely lace something more concrete to it but for now just look at it as pretty symbolism.

Yeah the eclipse isn't the origin of their powers, but that moment in time proved to be a catalyst for the use of their powers, for whatever reason. Peter's been a dreamer from day 1, Noah's character's been a genious from day 1, mirror girl has had repressed rage from the gate... the eclipse , for reasons I presume will be explained later, acts as a catalyst, and, as said before... a symbol.

double post...

but it seemed to me that the cheerleader had the powers b4 the eclipse. cause the episode is set on the day of the start of eclipse. and her intro began with the cheerleader testing what her powers can do already. so that means she must of discovered her power b4 that day, b4 the eclipse...

so i dont think the eclipse is connected to their powers.

it can just be symbolism for a new beginning or something
