Elder Scrolls V - Part 6

It is, but atm it's a blessing. In GTA 4's case, the late DLC led me to just not buy it when it finally came to PS3. This time it's different in that even if I did get it now, it would still be awhile before I played it. I'm still catching up on other games. So when I'm finally caught up and ready to play Skyrim again the DLC will be extra incentive. I was popping Oblivion in occasionally up to 2 months or so before Skyrim came out. So waiting a bit longer for Skyrim DLC isn't going to kill me.

Thank god I didnt get it on the PS3. Runs great on the PC

^^ True enough, but Dawnguard itself isn't playing nice with lotsa mods at the moment.Especially with custom races,i was forced to restart couple of times now because of this.

Hearthfire looks pretty good. Any info on the size limits for the house yet?

Hmm I don't even own a PS3, but I'm genuinely curious as to what the issue could be. It seems strange to me that it's almost beyond the point of fixing to the point where they'd just give up trying to release it on PS3.

Sucks for PS3 owners, though.

I wish that you could make armor for your horses to buff up their defense because I'm getting tired of losing so many of them to magic users and people with weapons. :(

What sucks even worse is that I own the PC version but my computer can't handle the game as it's an antiquated dinosaur. Yeesh, it can barely handle the Sims 3. :( This is what I get every time I try to play the game:

Oblivion and F3 were fine in this regard were they not?

I would assume it has something to do with the way Skyrim's engine interacts with the PS3 that is causing this issue.

F3 was even worse than Skryim. But as far as I've played with Oblivion, I've never run into any issues with that.

I'm not saying they will. But if they aren't going to support my console, then I might as well save my money in the future.

It sounds like they're trying their damnedest to make things work, so I'm not quite sure I'd fault Bethesda entirely in this case. They've had bugs on both PC and 360 that they've been able to address, so I'd guess it's a PS3 hardware or software issue of some sort that's preventing the problem from being solved.

Again, I don't know or anything, but that's just what it seems like from the reports and statements from Bethesda. Otherwise, they wouldn't be able to patch/fix the other versions, either, would they?

On the whole PS3 debacle, I will say that while it is Bethesda's fault, 100%, that the game is glitchy as ****, I won't say it's ONLY Bethesda that has this problem. Multiple developers have expressed difficulty in porting games to the PS3. Hell, even the super power themselves, Valve, have problems. They didn't even make the PS3 version of the Orange Box!! They had someone else do it because it was too much of a hassel for them. There is obviously something about that god damn PS3 that makes porting difficult. It's obviously not making a game for the PS3, in general, because every PS3 exclusive runs like metled butter. I dunno...I don't know jack-**** when it comes to coding or video game development, so my 2 cents is based entirely around the stuff I've seen/heard.

Well since they haven't actually said what the problem is, we can't really know. But if it's that big of an issue still after three games, then maybe they should just not have released it on the PS3 in the first place.

Or maybe PS3 should be more compatible with cross-platform titles?

Just sayin'. :o

im sorry all of you PS3 owners are having so many problems with the game :(

Really. Regardless of who's fault it is (Playstation's of Bethesda's) it sucks big time. The fact I play on a 360 isn't because I like one console over the other, it's just dumb luck. I can't imagine how pissed I'd be to be excited as I was for a game like Skyrim only to find out (for whatever reason) that it couldn't run properly.

Yea same, but then again I would just get it for the other system seeing as how I have both.

i just hope they're able to fix it so that everyone can enjoy this game

While i do understand the frustration of the PS3 owners about this whole thing, i gotta say that how some of the reacted kinda pissed me off.

At the risk of sounding like a Bethesda fanboy, i gotta say that i do believe that they are doing everything they can to solve the problem. it's only logical since it will be another source of revenue for them. To think that Beth is sabotaging the release on PS3 for whatever reason is like some of them are suggesting...is just completely ridicilous IMO.

The comments on encouraging other PS3 owners to demand refund...WTF? didn't Skyrim worked for you people? and IF the worse comes to pass and Dawnguard didn't get released, how could you ask for a refund of something you've never bought in the first place? and the worse...to encourage others to just PIRATE Skyrim and future DLC's..supposedly out of principle...again, WTF?

Again, i'm NOT ranting against all PS3 owners, just the attitude of some gamers...I COMPLETELY understand that you'd be pissed when something like this happens, but y'know, sometimes bad things happens and you just gotta except that sometimes there is no one to blame.

Okay, rant over..
