Ok all good, downloading now.

Anyone know how to get the plot of land in Falkreath? Iv talked to the Jarl and the Steward and no option appears like they do in Dawnstar and Morthal.

I figured it out. Apparently there was some favor that i needed to do to open up the option that would allow me to talk to the Jarl of Falkreath about property and odd jobs.

I looked at both properties(Falkreath and Morthal) and i'll deff be building on the Falkreath plot. Its actually located right outside of Falkreath. Its kind of tucked away in the forrest overlooking a river. Great spot.

Altho i guess i need to check out Dawnstars before i make my final decision, but that Falkreath spot will be hard to top.

I'll probably buy that same plot. Falkreath is perfect for my Geralt of Rivia character :P

hah yea, i really liked it. I thought the Morthal spot was nice because you could see Solitude in the distance but it seemed too gloomy and there were damn horkers all over the place.

Logged on to play Hearthfire but got mobbed by a load of Master Vampires as I'd downloaded Dawnguard. Then found that the glitch preventing me from completing the Companions Quest must have been fixed. Can finally complete everything on this game! Hearthfire can wait a day ;)

Yea it is dude. Exactly what i wanted. i wanted a place outside of a town that was a bit secluded but at the same time i didnt want it in the middle of no where incase i needed supplies or something(i try to use as little fast travel as possible). cant wait to build

i just wanted a place that is in the woods :)

so what quest is needed to be done in order to purchase the land near Falkreath?

So what's the level of customization on the houses?

Iv just started and from what i can see it seems pretty expansive. You start off with building just a small cottage. You have to build the foundation and then wall framing and then the walls, roofing frames etc. You need supplies to do this(nails, saw wood, clay, etc which are provided at the houses site). Once that is up you have the option of adding a main hall onto your little cottage as well as building supplies for inside your cottage(shelving, containers etc). Then you can add 3 more sections to the house. One on the east wall, north wall and then the west wall. You have 3 options to choose from on each wall. For instance on the east wall you can add a green house, children's room or enchanters tower.

I think its neat that you have to build each section up. So you'll see your foundation then when you hard your wall supports you see them going up. Its really cool. Felt like my character was actually building a house, not just having one magically spawn up.

I found it over at the Skyrim boards, but there was like a list of them and if you had one of them still open the option to get a plot of land in falkreath wouldn't open. For me it was deliver one amulet of arklay to some guy. As soon as i did that it opened.

weird... i had to get the Jarl some Black-Briar mead and kill the bandit leader at Knife-Point until i had the option...

Yea but to get even that option you had to have these 2 quests complete, it was like give the amulet to that guy and one other. Kind of odd but theres a FAQ over at the skyrim forum that detailed it.

This is seriously, seriously cool DLC. There really is a lot that goes into building your house. Iv added a main hall and am now building an armory. Iv closed off the bottom floor of the armory but I'm not sure i wanna close off the top portion. Iv got myself a nice little deck overlooking a really cool river. I really hope theres more DLC like this on the way. Its so cool to be able to make something like a house "yours".

I'm glad you liked it. Having said that, sometimes i'm ashamed that i count myself as a pc gamer. The amount of hate and condescending comments i've seen on other boards to console players actually enjoying this is just mind boggling.

I'll definitely get this when i have the funds!

Fixed. :oldrazz:

^^ haha yeah...

Acting like PC gamers are some sort of master race or something...

this game can be too easy... if you know the glitches

`Just like Fallout 3 etc...

I remember abusing the ammo glitch from O;A when i wqas still playing the game on XBOX

Hah i never did any glitches to help me in Fallout or Skyrim for that matter i did use the infinite gold glitch in Oblivion though.

I used the infinite gold glitch on my second Oblivion playthrough just for fun.
