Modio is now free? i remember when i was still playing FO3 on XBOX you have to pay for it. Never used it myself though.

How does it work exactly? and Kal mentioned horizon...is it the same as modio?

You still playing NV? hows that NV RTS going?

I'm pretty sure Modio is free. I didn't pay anything at least. I used it to mod New Vegas on the 360. I haven't heard of Horizon and I'm too lazy to google it, but they're probably the same. :o

Nah, I took a break to play some Skyrim. I bought Hearthfire lol, I can't wait 'til the GOTY edition comes out coz then I'll pick it up for PC.

Not that it matters, but I went with my heart and voted Tanooki Suit. :o

how far have any of you gotten outside of the main gameplay sandbox?

Aren't these mods banned on XBox?

^^I guess only if you modded your XBOX itself. But i dunno for sure.

Using MODIO for mods doesn't require a modded XBOX i think...again, i dunno for sure.

I mean actually going beyond the known boundary of the game itself

so tempted to buy now that it's under $40 but now feel like I should wait for GOTY edition.

You think it would receive game of the year?

It won many game of the year awards, and every Bethesda game since Morrowind has had a GOTY edition with all the DLC/expansions included.

Wabbajack got my vote. It's down to the FO3 Luck Bobblehead (Not sure how it made it that far) and the best item in the last two ES games.

Well, I am getting very frustrated with the Jarl of Markarth right now. I've received Thaneship of Whiterun, Riften, Solitude and Windhelm, but after the bazillion quests I have completed and all the Forsworn that have fallen he has yet to offer me the title of Thane of Markarth. What have I done wrong here? Did I purchase the house too soon, as in right after he said I could buy property in Markarth? Are there required Quests that I need to do to satisfy the criteria? Do I need to complete the Forsworn Conspiracy Quest?

Here's a handy list of all the things you need to do to become a Thane of Markarth:

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Becoming_Thane#The_Reach_.28Capital:_Markarth.29

Hopefully something in there helps!

With my first character, I only ever became a Thane by accident. He's a kind of nomadic wanderer type, not interested in money or title, so anytime someone made him a Thane I like to think he kind of shrugged it off. The Jarls always tell you it's "mostly an honorary title" anyway, which I think is a shame. I'd like to have a hand in managing the daily goings on of the cities -not with my first character of course- but the option would be really neat.

I've already been to that Wiki page and did most of the quests listed there. Only thing I didn't do was kill Madanach in the mines because after I killed him he'd glitch up and I'd get killed by the prisoners. The Jarl does apologize to me for taking the blame. I guess I just have to accept there is no Thaneship for me in Markarth because of the known bugginess of it.

So...what's a a good armor to start with in Oblivion? Should I risk jail time to get Imperial Armor?

Well, I went and did it. It was an impulse buy, maybe I'll regret it in an hour but I bought Dawnguard.

I bought it and didn't regret it except for the random vampire attacks inside towns that killed my two general store merchants in Whiterun. I now have a new character with a "free" house in Riften. I don't care about anyone in Riften that can die so sucks to be the vampires.

The crossbow and making arrows are fun additions especially if you have a massive amount of extra metals like I had a few hundred dwarven metals that got turned into a couple thousand dwarven arrows. Made over 6000, played for another hundred hours down to 4400. Lots of fun, especially the dragon bone arrows.

Just allied with the Dawnguard. My Argonian Lady Assassin/Sniper will be joining up with the Vampires.

It took a bit to get going, but I'm enjoying it now that it's picked up. Just got back from visiting the Cairn, nice to bump around a new place even if it was a barren wasteland. :p

Also just found out Serana isn't romancable which is a big ol :cmad: seeing as how she's probably the best character in the game aside from Paarthurnax and her dialogue totally seemed to be heading that way.

Totally agree!

My fav. location from Dawnguard is without a doubt the forgotten Vale. Home of the Falmers. It's just incredible...the design of their villages, and the looong climb to get there...
