Elder Scrolls V - Part 6

Gah! I was looking in the PSN store to see if they still had Shivering Isles and it costs way more than I paid for Oblivion itself, as in 40 dollars to the 11.99 I paid the Ebay seller.

Ì'm waiting until all ME 3 DLC's are out at the moment.

I've heard that Omega DLC is coming?

In the meantime...raising all kinds of hell in Skyrim with Serena and Lydia..

But if you look at my avatar...i'm starting to miss the Mojave too!:oldrazz:
i lost Lydia early on. Went into some ruin and she disappeared. I'm guessing she died and I didn't notice

You know, in my dearly departed previous save file I equipped Lydia with fully upgraded Daedric Armor and gave her a Daedric Great Sword. (Yes, I had enough Daedra Hearts and Ebony Ore to outfit us both in fully upgraded Daedric Armor...and I will do it again with my new file too!) That helped her be of greater assistance to me in combat situations and lessen her chances of dying. But when I get Cicero as a Follower Lydia will go back to my house in Whiterun then.

I picked up Dawnguard finally. It's $11.25 on Greenmangaming.com for the PC if anyone else is interested. $10 was my buy in price, I got too jealous of all the Dawnguard required mods to wait.

She could be just stuck there. Sometimes companions gets stuck in an interior cell, and they won't appear next to you if you fast travel, wait etc

I'd love to check out Dawnguard but hopes for it coming to the PS3 are pretty dismal.

Oh my God, this has me chuckling a bit. Why can't I get these kinds of prank calls at work?

Cicero calls Roadside Assistance

Just finished Dawnguard. Still think its pricey at $20 bucks, but I had a good time none the less. Some cool fights, a few new purdy areas to explore and Serana's the best companion in the game as far as I am concerned. All in all I liked it.

Yea i had more fun with Hearthfire overall than i did with Dawnguard. Still glad i picked up Dawnguard tho.

Weird that you can turn Serana human.

I'll probably start my evil Argonian lady through the DLC tomorrow and ruin the world.

Weird that you can turn Serana human.

Why would anyone wants to turn her human though...she'll lose all her vampire abilities.

Though i have to wonder if doing that will give her new sets of dialogues. I really like her dialogues. It's pretty well done, gives her an interesting personality and at times can give you the sense that she's established a connection with your character, as opposed to just beng a follower.

Especially like the exchange between her and your character if you're married, wearing the amulet of Mara and then asked her opinion about marriage. It was a nice little exchange as she asked you about your partner, what he/she is like and if you're happy with your partner.

I checked the wiki it apparently doesn't change her dialogue so it seems like a daft thing to do, but different strokes I guess.

Hmmm..wasted opportunity. i would love to hear what she says when you cure her of her Vampirism.

And speaking of wasted opportunity...i was dissapointed that they didn't involve the companions in the storyline somehow.I mean c'mon now...Vampires and werewolves.

Another thing is the snow elves origin. Can't believe they've changed that!

The funny thing is, there was a popular house mod for Skyrim, but the overall consensus even among PC Skyrim gamers is that Hearthfire did it better...with better options, less buggy etc..

BUT pc gamers being what they are, of course they can't accept that little fact, so there's kind of a mini war going between which is better and why they should boycott the other etc...lol

I guess just enjoying BOTH is not even an option to these people.

Hearthfire is cool coz it lets you build houses in Holds that don't have houses you can buy. I wish it were less restrictive with what you can do but that's a minor nitpick lol, and I'm not one to complain about having more stash spots. I might turn an entire house into an ale and wine museum. F**k yea. And stash every linen wrap in the game in another house. Mhm.

Monetary damages... lol. I thought that was from TheOnion for a sec.

^^

Good god!..'mental anguish'...really?!?

Some of the gems from comments from angry gamers on that site;

“Mental Anguish? bs i can tell you that right now.”

Please do… I’m listening. I can understand if it were a few PS3 users suffering from mental anguish of Skyrim but the fact of the matter is it’s thousands if not hundreds of thousands of PS3 users suffering. I dare to even say millions.

Suing Bethesda over something that you're not entitled to in the first place...

Best example of gamers over inflated sense of consumer entitlement...

Its hilarious tripe.

Yeah it sucks that the PS3 port is kind of ****ed, but then... just don't buy the PS3 port next time. This stuff isn't complicated.

Eh, just so this isn't a wholly negative series of posts:

ROFLMAO

it's funny...and disturbing at the same time. Thanks for probably giving me nightmare, Spidey!

Lol that's great. It'd be even better with the sound of thundering footsteps as they all run past you.

If anyone has a right to sue concerning the Dawnguard DLC it should be poor PS3 owners like myself who aren't getting it! :o:cwink:

You fail to see the point here though...why should I have to buy a whole new expensive console just for one game that is on a system that I already own just for DLC that should have been promised for every version of it, not just some of them? I want to know why Dawnguard or anything else just cannot work on my game at all just because it's for the PS3? When you promise DLC for a game you damn well better make sure you can release it for every platform, not just some.

I never really liked the Xbox anyway because there's not one game for the system I can play. Not very skilled nor very interested in all their First Person Shooters at all so it's a huge waste of money for me. I'm going to save my big purchase for a Wii U so I can play Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate. It's Bethesda's loss that they just cannot release this DLC for my game system. I'll spend my money on a console that has a game on it that I want to play.

Anyways, been playing the Stormcloak faction's quests in my new file. Already did the Imperial one as well on my previous one. I'm still bothered that you cannot settle the Civil war peacefully in Skyrim because it's obvious the High Elves are behind all the strife that has driven a wedge between the Imperials and the Stormcloaks. I actually like both the Imperial and the Stormcloak commanders and hate that you have to kill them in both story arcs. That and Jarl Balgruf's sad admonition of you has me choked up because I like him too. But what I cannot tolerate is Maven Blackbriar as Jarl of Riften. I hope in Elder Scrolls VI we get to humble those High Elves once and for all so that the Imperial provinces can get along peacefully with each other.

It's kinda like suing Sam Raimi for promising to make Spidey 4...it's silly:oldrazz:

You did not signed a contract where it said that Beth Guaranteed you Dawnguard. You bought and paid for Skyrim. See Dawnguard as kind of a sequel. You did not put down payment for it or any kind.

Anyway...as for shooters game. Have you thought about giving FO3 a try?

It's very much like Skyrim, only with guns and missile launchers and you don't have to be a COD expert to be able to play it.
