I never killed him. He redeemed himself by helping me to defeat Alduin. I felt most dragons were just misunderstood. I mean, Skyrim is their land too.

Considering that Paarthurnax has helped me with Alduin more than the Blades have i am letting him live. I've already recruited 3 people and I don't really need the help of the Blades as far as defeating dragons go, heck I defeated Alduin without their help didn't I? Summoning one of the Heroes of Savngarde would be more helpful than the Blades sadly. So I think I can forgive Paarthurnax for his past crimes. I guess Esbern must think that Odahviing is much more worthy because he's younger.

I started a new game again, still haven't completed it, because I'm never really happy with my character. Anyway, I'm trying to get that Bard of Carlotta's back, but I always fail because the *****e starts to pull a dagger and I end up killing him, because he doesn't stop.

I suggest you really work on your Speech skill so that when you use the persuasion choice you'll have more success. I always easily got that Bard to back off from Carlotta.

If you're interested in getting it up to Level 100 just go to Riften and speak to the Wood Elf that tends bar at the Blackbriar Meadery and ask him about Maven over and over again.

True. And even if Paarthunax decided to rise up and try and take over for some reason, just dial D for Dragonborn baybee. :word:

Oblivion was horrible with gamepad, that's true.

Was the controller responsive at all, Kal? have you tried re-installing the software etc?

yeah, i tried re-installing everything... once i had it activated and all the buttons assigned, it went off on an endless "zooming in and out" motion that made my eyes hurt, so i just gave up on it and went back to the keyboard. works fine now.

I have to say, I am impressed with Cicero's duel wielding capabilities. He can take a Daedric Sword, pair it with a Pickaxe and become a lethal duel wielding killer.

I just took the other option and bribed him. Was getting tired of killing him, because he wouldn't stick to fists.

Oh lol! Waving the good old Septim at a starving artist! Always pacifies them.

I was just thinking there are some things you just do not want to yell out loud while playing Skyrim for fear that the uninitiated will get the wrong ideas about your level of sanity. For Example:

"Hey Cicero let's go out and kill things!"

Or...

"This is for your ancestors (The Mythic Dawn Cult) killing Emperor Patrick Stewert 200 years ago!"

I killed cicero and sold his clothes. He was weird and annoying. :p

Weird yes but he's one hell of a follower though. He's only killable once and will never die afterwards for any reason even if you accidentally hit him. Like I said I gave him a Daedric Sword and a Pickaxe to duel wield. He cleared a whole Forsworn settlement (The one near Skyhaven Temple.) chock full of people all by himself. I barely put a dent in them and Cicero just humbled me in terms of his killing prowess. Not using him as a follower is a big mistake. It's no joke what those people told me about Cicero being a top follower.

Cicero and jenassa the elf merc are the only two followers capable of dual wielding, and they're both highly skilled in one handed weapons.

Personally, i'd go with jenassa...easier on the eyes and less annoying.

Does he speak often as a follower?

Oh he likes to talk to himself a lot, just mostly mad rantings and such, but when he's fighting enemies he's all business.

I think in terms of health though Cicero has the edge. Like I said he's tagged as essential and cannot die no matter what, like Derkeethus, making him indispensable when dungeon crawling in extensive ruins, like those Dwemer Ruins.

P.S. Oh I don't think Cicero's that bad looking judging by this image:

P.S.S. My 16 year old niece was watching me playing Skyrim and I assassinated the Emperor on his boat. When I stripped him of his goods and left him naked my niece stated "The Emperor's got some abs!"

Oh hells yeah! :awesome:
:woot:

great...........another DLC forthcoming......and there's even a place called Raven Rock!!!

and yet..........the PS3 has yet to see the FIRST DLC!!! :csad:

what's the problem Bethesda??!! :cmad:
sorry :csad:

awesomeness... also, though, i hope in this DLC they fix some of the glitches, update textures, and give more character creation options
They fixed my one glitch after about 6 months so I'm confident that these things get fixed eventually. I'm waiting for them to fix my current one & hopefully they do it with this release. Then I can finish all 3 DLCs at the same time. :word:

Just imagine - 300 tonnes of rampaging, ice-breathing salamander between your thighs.
Oh hells yeah! :awesome:

Sounds like an average Wednesday night.

Any word on when this will be released? I skipped Hearthfire, but I'll be getting this one the day it comes out. I shall begin playing Skyrim again a week or so before it's release to prepare.

do you think they will release a GOTY edition with all the DLC and patches?

when Beth came out and said DLC may never come to PS3, I kind of threw my hands up and traded in my copy.

the only way I could see myself picking Skyrim back up is if they release a GOTY edition with all the bugs/glitches fixed on the PS3 + DLC.

I'm pretty sure they'll release a GOTY edition for other platforms (PS3 only if they can conquer the programming probs in time) with all DLC & probably all patches at date of release.

hmmm.....I hope so.

I really feel disenchanted by the whole situation. I'm really wary about buying anything Beth related for the PS3 now, even Dishonored.
