First thing I want to dual wield are shields! I know I probably can't but that won't stop me from trying to shield bash a dragon to death!

hey......I think they said you could dual wield staves.........so it's possible! :awesome:
 
If possible, I will create a blue fire spell with the intent to dual-wield it. I will effectively name this spell "Hadouken!"
 
I wonder if we can mix some lightning with the fire spell and dual wield that, that'd be the proper hadouken. I'm sure dragon shout powers and magical powers will make some players lil gods when they level up enough. That lightning storm power used on that dragon looked pretty godly.
 
never played or heard of elder scrolls... but this game looks like its gonna be pretty awesome.

my only problem is the main character looks stoopid...especially with that dumb helmet
 
then nevermind lmao...

still tho why advertise with that dumb helmet? lol
 
It looks like it's been taken from Frank Frazettas death dealer. It looks cool when he does it. But saying that, everything looks cool when Frank Frazetta does it.
Or rather did it, seeing how he's dead and stuff.
 
Well clearly that's a native Skyrim type of armour. It's a nordic, mountain country. It sorta fits. And yeah, like Spock said, you can completely customise your characters features and outfit.

Its not about being a PC fanboy. I play 95% of all my games on my PS3 but IA with him. With someone that has both set ups, I cant imagine picking consols over PC for a game like this. For me its strictly PC. It'll be superior in every way.The only thing my PS3 has to offer over PC is trophies and thats not a big enough incentive for me to get it for that.

Every game submited to Sony after, I beleive Fall 2008 is mandated to have trophies. The 2009 games on that list are exceptions as they were already submitted before the deadline. I beleive those also came out fairly early in 2009. Anything later has the trophies. Re-releases of PS3 games dont fall under this as they are simply the same games put in a new package. It's why the upcoming Resistance Dual Pack wont require R1 to have trophies.

If you're strictly talking about the hardware then fair enough, but for me the difference between console and PC is more than that. It's about the overall set up. After spending an 8 hour workshift in front of a computer, i'd rather go home, grab a beer, sink into the couch and enjoy my flat screen tv. Also, the whole xbox interface provides me perfectly with the gaming experience I want. I can handle whatever graphics i'm missing out on purely for the atmosphere, being able to quickly scan what my friends are playing, have a party chat, or simply sit back in a comfy chair and enjoy my game like a cinematic experience. To me, you can't enjoy the immersive factor of a game as much in front of a computer screen as you can with a movie set up, and Skyrim is a game I want to be immersed in.

That said, I know some people get that entertainment set up for their PC's, get a big ass comfy office chair, a big monitor set up, etc. The difference for me, though, is that I already have a couch and a TV, so what is the extra incentive for me to get extra stuff just to view the content on a different platform?

There's no real answer to these questions, it's just horses for courses.
 
Maybe just Oblivion. Morrowind has dated pretty badly.

Im about to go to work so I dont have time to write much of a response, but mouse and keyboard really change the experience and its a much better way to play the game. It cant compare to a gamepad. There's also the issue of mods which extend the life of the game and add new replay value to the experience
 
Mods I agree with, but i'm really not a mouse and keyboard guy. A controller just feels so damn natural to me, and since they've streamlined all the interface with this game specifically for console anyway, I think i'll be fine.
 
I played Morrowind on both PC and Xbox, and prefer playing Elder Scrolls games on consoles.
 
I had Oblivion on both PC and 360. I'll be getting Skyrim on the PS3... I've never cared about Mods for the most part...so...

I went back to Morrowiind a few days ago...couldn't play for more than 15 minutes. Everything was so terrible!!! The graphics were crap, animations crap, dialogue choices crap, sound effects crap! Ah, god, it was bad. Haha.

Then I played Oblivion and stayed up all night.
 
blivion just LOOKS hideous... Everything else is ok. I hope I can turn into a werewolf in Skyrim. I misses that in Oblivion.

The thing that kept me playing (and enjoying) Morrowind over Oblivion was that Morrowind had more varied enivorments and generally, a better sense of wonder. Tod Howard himself outright admitted this. Also because in Morrowind you were reading most of the text, it had my input i.e. imagination rather than hammy American voice actors with zoomy in stop time faces.

Yeah, Morrowind was great, no one's denying that, but it has dated terribly.
