Who else likes this series? very bloody, brutal and well made with a good intriguing storyline as its like a cocktail of Fist of the North Star, Splash, Akira and Gantz combined.

I saw the series quite some time ago. Tragic story, haunting yet beautiful soundtrack. Sad how the manga ended though from what I've heard.

It's a bit hard to deal with the gore and nudity on this level, but it has some nice qualities as well.

Another one along these lines...and in a lot of ways even more brutal....is 'Saikano'.

It's another 'young girl as ultimate weapon' thing, but it gets pretty dark, emotionally....and doesn't exactly end on a high note.
