Daredevil Elodie Yung IS Elektra!

Very eloquently done too.

And yeah, I was just thinking about her relationship with Punisher too and wondering if the MCU will explore it. One thing is for sure: putting the two together would definitely be a way to shake things up.

Glad we can agree on that. It'd be really fun to go into a political assassination thriller after The Defenders, though that depends on [BLACKOUT]whether or not she survives the miniseries. [/BLACKOUT]

Are you in my thoughts right now? lol

That'd be such a perfect way to go, and would continue to add to the variety of the MCU. And with films like TWS having been done so greatly, I would have high hopes a similarly styled story for Elektra could be just as good...probably better.

Possibly? ;) I just think it would be a nice change from the ninja thing. They could even loosely (and I really mean loosely) use Elektra: Assassin as a jumping off point. You could bring in Chastity McBryde from that and maybe a few others. Though sadly, John Garrett was butchered on AoS.

Even so, like you said, there's always a way they could loosely adapt it. And they amy not even have to totally lose the ninja angle so much as they could downplay it for a bit as to sell the more political assassination angle(s) of it.

And another thing is if they did a series on Elektra it'd give her a chance to possibly engage with the Punisher in a more interactive way than she otherwise could in DD's series.

By the by, I kind of also would like to see some interaction between Elektra and Kingpin at some point. They're both so awesome that it'd be a shame for them to never share any screen time together.

Just replace Garrett with Deathlok. Problem solved.

I could do without Deathlock... create a new character similar to John Garret and he doesn't necessarily need to be part robot.

Also not sure if anyone saw it but here's Elektra's first design for the show and Joe Quesada tweaked it to be what it turned into on the show.

I hope she gets her red bandanna hood at some point.

Likewise. And also more red fabric/less black fabric in the costume.

Agreed. I do love the attire she wore but the only thing it was lacking was having more red imbued in its design. I'm sure they'll change that the next time she shows up, though.

I am not a fan of her as Elektra, but I guess were stuck with her.At least the other characters are not miscast

What.... miscast?! That's your opinion though. I thought she was perfect in the role. The only thing I didn't like was the changes they made to her backstory but I can live with those changes.

I don't see how she was miscast. She fit the character (one version of her rather well, Man Without Fear miniseries version). I didn't mind the backstory change either.

To each their own. I'm not as high on her as well. She will do.

I need you to explain yourself.

I found her performance mediocre ,definitely the weak link of season 2,didn't make an Impact like Bernthal or Vincent did.

She's not attractive enough for Elektra either and looks like she starves her.

Hey were stuck with her ,maybe in Defenders or Season 3 she might improve
Not counting on it but,we will see

Fine to speak for yourself, but 'we' has nothing to do with it.

Yeah, completely disagree. She is gorgeous and fantastic in the role.

I loved Elodie Yung as Elektra. She was so charming and badass. I would have liked to see her kill a few more people, though.

She starves herself? You do know she has a black belt. On top of that, you don't have to be bulging with muscles to be Elektra. She's one of those fighters who goes for the kill and quickly gets out of the situation.

Yeah she looks like she starves herself,, there are plenty of female martial Artists that are not skin and bone.

I was like you Marvelboi92, wanting female warriors to be on the meatier side.
I still do, but I enjoyed her performance so much that I didn't mind that she is not as bulky as my mental idea of Electra.
Same goes for WW.
