Elon Musk Buys X (formerly Twitter): Just Use Bluesky, Threads, or Mastodon Instead

Anyway, someone had a nice little twitter call.

Lets just say, Tesla shareholders may be doing some legal work to remove him next year.

Also, he is super transphobic.

MusQ also restored virulent transphobic Graham Linehan's account.

Zoë Schiffer, Platformer: "NEW: Luke Simon -- one of Elon Musk's top lieutenants at Twitter -- appears to be out. He's been deactivated on Slack."

It really is like watching a train derail in slow motion. The train is also being derailed by the owner who has zero knowledge of how trains work and fired everyone who could have explained it to him. Everyone else has begun to leave the train and when it finally crashes and burns there may not be anyone left who cares enough about the train to put out the inevitable fire.

Reuters - Twitter restores suicide prevention feature after Reuters report
After publication of the story, Twitter head of trust and safety Ella Irwin confirmed the removal and called it temporary. "We have been fixing and revamping our prompts. They were just temporarily removed while we do that," Irwin said in an email to Reuters.

"We expect to have them back up next week," she said.
About 15 hours after the initial report, Musk, who did not initially respond to requests for comment, tweeted "False, it is still there." In response to criticism by Twitter users, he also tweeted "Twitter doesn't prevent suicide."

Business Insider - Self-harm images and videos are thriving on Elon Musk's Twitter, which is less capable than ever of dealing with it

Faiz Siddiqui, The Washington Post:
"NEW: Elon Musk sent a Signal message ordering his staff to aid in the Twitter Files: 'please give Bari [Weiss] full access to everything at Twitter. No limits at all.' That triggered a frenzy inside Twitter, which was under a decade-old FTC order."

"IT staff refused to onboard Weiss, worried if she was granted the full access Musk requested Twitter would be breaking the law. The order was a response to previous privacy concerns. To some, it was unclear if Musk had read it."

"Days later, two executives with oversight of matters related to the Twitter Files were fired. Weiss' access was overseen by a chaperone, new Twitter Trust and Safety chief Ella Irwin, whose name appeared in a watermark on one of the documents."

"Inside Twitter, Musk occupies a 10th-floor conference room with a staging area. There, they wait for the Twitter CEO — sometimes for more than an hour — before being called in. Meeting guests are instructed not to speak until Musk does."

Agree, except it doesn't feel like slow motion lol.
