Elseworlds you'd like to read

How about instead of a traditional elseworlds tale....how about a mini series detailing the origin of the Crime Syndicate...starting with individual origins of the various members being fleshed out and then detailing how they banded together and took over the planet...
I think it would make for an interesting story to see how they got rid of segments of the hero community and it would make for really cool cameos of Big DC Villains' heroic counterparts.

It could make for a really cool story with endless possibilities...I can't see anyone saying they would pass on it if they put some real A list talent on it...
To see a good version of batman or flashes rogues would be a great pay off in itself...

I remember one I read in the early/mid 90s called "Death's Head II" I believe set in an alternate future. It revolved around the Avengers and Reed Richards if I recall. I think some of the X-Men characters were mentioned. It really stuck with me, and I thought it was super cool... even though none of the other "comic kids" were reading it at the time.

there was also a mini that i believe preceded this series featuring the X-Men on the cover fighting Death's Head that I bought on the cover alone lol...
A universe where none of the major DCU-original heroes took up their heroic identities, and the protectors where all the Fawcett, Charlton, Quality, ect. heroes. The DC characters would still exist but as non-powered supporting characters or minor adventurers like Hal Jordan being a Blackhawk, for example.
A universe that is a take-off on Speeding Bullets and In Darkest Night, where the Wayne's find baby Kal-El and raise him along side their biological son Bruce. After their murders, Bruce helps his brother develop his heroic identity and methods but the brothers have a falling out over Bruce wanting to fight by his side. Bruce goes on to get a Green Lantern ring and forging his own heroic identity. This world would be populated by heroes and villains that take on elements of other heroes like a Diana who is a sorceress instead of a warrior or an Orin who gets a hold of a Nth metal harness that allows him to fly, further augments his strength, and allows him to breathe hydrated oxygen while on land.
A Marvel Universe one I'd like to see is where the Marvel human heroes/villans were born as mutants and the mutants were born as regular humans.

Batman: Gotham Noir is by far my favorite Elseworlds comic. What sucks is that Gotham Noir is out of print and i'm not paying $20 for it. It needs to be reprinted badly. Highly recommended to those who haven't read it yet. If you love Gordon being a badass, then you will love this.

I picked up a copy at my comic shop for a dollar. and DC just recently reprinted it under their DC COMICS PRESENTS banner for 8 bucks.

I want something like Tim Drake invents the Batman Beyond suit and recruits people to wear them. First his army of batmen stop crime in Gothem, then the world and eventually the universe, but for some reason Tim turns evil and the Green Lantern Corps are the universes only hope of stopping his bat army from total domination.
