Your reaction is... unsurprising. So it's a kids movie that pushes anachronistic female empowerment in a not-so-subtle way.
Not surprised it's an RT hit.
Question is, why are y'all so 'hyped' to watch this?
I really like Henry here, but what got me is how giant he is. Every shot of him from any distance away points out how far his arms are a part, making them look tiny.A bit too info-dumping at the beginning and I’ll never be in tune with the fourth wall breaks (but perfect for the TikTok/Instagram generation) but it was a fun coming-of-age tale and adventure romp. Henry Cavill is good as a low key as Sherlock Holmes but Millie Bobby Brown does a very good job as the title character.
Just Sherlock's baby sister in anything he could do I can do.erm... what was this?
Dora the explorer in victorian England?
While I didn’t think it was boring, the movie is far less of a mystery movie in comparison to its coming-of-age and adventure aspects. They’d have to improve upon that in a sequel.
I just can't get his Mission Impossible fights out of my head. And even if Tom Cruise is shorter than many Sherlock would still have to have a monster cast for him to fight as I wouldn't expect him to need any fancy martial art to surprise the Victorian toughs and hitmen.I just really want to see what his Sherlock can do in hand to hand combat more than anything else considering how beastly and in shape Cavill looked to be in this.
Probably watching this with my partner tonight. Haha, I'm surprised Henry's gargantuan frame is apparently so obvious in this. It looked like they were hiding it rather well in the trailers. I guess being a powerhouse can fit Sherlock; I know he's typically be described as a skinny guy but he's also an absolute badass.
