Entertainment Weekly - 5 Ways to Save Heroes

I also wanted to say that I am soo happy they decided to keep Matt instead of killing him off, because he is slowly becoming one of my favorite characters. I've just really really grown to like him a lot over the past two seasons because is story his just great.

Matt is just on a search for that perfect little life that he thought he had before until everything just crumbled underneath him. The dynamic between him and Daphne is just great, I really like them as a couple. It's not rushed, there's really a chemistry building up between them and absolutely LOVED their scenes together in last weeks episode.

Daphne is great too because you know she wants to do that right thing, but there's something Arthur and Pinehearst are holding over her head. You can really see it on her face that she doesn't believe in anything she's doing. Daphne and Brea were great additions this season as well. I hope she sticks around.

I agree with this. The EW writer says that Matt was a great character in S1 while now he's just there. I have to disagree, and say it it quite the opposite. In S1, the loss of Matt would have really been no big deal, IMO. But now, he's pretty integral to the series. His story with Daphne is definately one of the better aspects of this season.

If I had my way, the characters that should be removed from the show would be...

1) Ali Larter... no matter what character she's playing.
2) Maya
3) Both of Claire's Moms & her brother.
4) Ando
5) The Pyro villain... forgot his name, but seriously... Sylar should've killed that guy.
6) This Puppet guy. Seriously, we've got enough villains... who the hell is this guy and why is he important?
7) Elle. She's eye candy... nothing more.

Why do would you kill off Claire's family, if I may ask?! And Elle too?

I didn't say they should be killed... I just said removed from the show. To me it just seems that they are holding Claire back. If they were gone, I think Claire would develop faster as a character.

As far as Elle goes, I really don't see the purpose of keeping her in the show anymore. In Season 2, she was a spoiled girl seeking her daddy's approval, and now that he's dead and she's been fired from the company... there's really nothing left for her to do. I know the writer's probably have some sort of revenge plot in mind for her, but unless she ends up doing some major damage and/or getting killed, I'm going to be disappointed with her story.

Yeah, you're probably right. A so-called sociopath that has just been forced out of the company that has been her home for her whole life, whose father has been killed, and who is losing control of her abilities. Nothing left to do with her at all...

Stop saying Tracy is a clone people! She's not a clone, her, Niki, & Barbara were triplets!

A clone and a triplet are two VERY different things.

BFD. Two different characters played by the same actress on a tv show! Might as well be a clone.

Might as well not, since that isn't what the story clearly stated. They were natural born triplet sisters that were separated at birth.

Very different then them being clones of one person.

lol same difference :woot:.

btw when will we get to see barbara? anyone got any news on that?

y'know, it's interesting. They keep talking about these triplets, Barbra, Niki and Tracy. However wasn't Niki's explanation of Jessica that she was her twin sister that died when she was young? wouldn't that have made her a quadruplet?

^ I'm just not fond of Ali Larter as an actress. Maybe it's just me, but her performance, no matter what character she's playing, only seems to be skin-deep...

and yeah... wtf ever happened to Jessica? :)

I know she's not a clone. But if saying 'clone' is easier than saying 'triplet seperated at birth', especially when we're just talking about a freaking tv show, then let the guy say clone and move on. I get what they are saying, and while it isnt precise, I let it go.

Now, if we were talking about reality, then it would be a big deal. If someone called Mary Kate Olsen a clone of Ashley Olsen, then I'd probably be more inclined to ask "WTF are you saying? They're twins."

Niki never said Jessica was her twin, just that she was the stronger one of the two. I think people just assumed that they were twins when in fact, Niki was the oldest.

Jessica was her adoptive sister born in 1976 and died in 1987. Niki was born in 1974. Here's a picture of Niki and Jessica from Linderman's archives:

I see. Interesting.

So Nikki, Tracy, Barbara, and Jessica are part of another family that is prone to having super powers... god I hope they are in no way related to the Petrellis. ;)

Niki, Tracy, Barbara are blood related and have abilities (I'm assuming Barbara has them too), but as far as we know Jessica is not related to any of them, she was only Niki's sister through adoption. It was never stated that Jessica had an ability, I'm assuming she didn't.

I'm assuming Hal and his wife adopted Niki first, then either had Jessica naturally or adopted her too.

I was under the impression that Jessica was the one with super-strength. Seeing as though for most of Season One, Nikki couldn't use it unless she was in Jessica-mode.

And up until the whole triplet revelation, I had a theory that Nikki suffers from multiple personalities - each personality with a different ability. And that when she was trapped in the fire at the end of season 2, the Tracy personality came out and allowed her to escape the fire due to power to freeze things. However, that theory has been laid to waste now. :)

No, Niki was the one that had super-strength. She only developed the Jessica personality as a result of Jessica's death and her abilities manifesting.

Niki couldn't deal with that fact that she had these abilities, so when she needed them or had to use them she always blacked out and let her Jessica personality take over.

I disagree with that only because Nikki didn't even know she had these abilities until she saw the aftermath of Jessica's actions. Once Nikki started to gain control over Jessica, is when she started to gain control of that strength. Nikki needed Jessica to have the strength. Without Jessica, Nikki is just normal.

Niki didn't need Jessica to access her abilities, there were plenty was times where Niki used her strength without reverting to her Jessica persona. Specifically in the season one finale when she beat the crap out of Candice and beat Sylar with the parking meter. In both instances she was herself and not Jessica.

In season two, she used her abilities when she was attacking Bob and Nathan in the office and she beat the door down.

^ Yes, she had control of Jessica... but Jessica wasn't gone. She also had a few Jessica outbursts in Season 2.
