I love the picture, it looks great, and I love the fact that their basically having Lois relive what Clark did but to a greater extent. But to me, the S on Lois doesnt look like it was spray painted on. Look at Clark, his S looks a little imperfect, Now the S on Lois' shirt looks like a shirt that buy at a store with the Logo already on it. I know its a small thing, but I just found it sort of odd.

What’s interesting to note is the slightly different mood to this “crucifixion” image versus the one that hit EW.com on Friday. There, Lois appeared distraught, her mane matted by fear/dread; here, she almost seems ascendant.
Maybe a super friend is just out of frame, heroically carrying her to safety? (I’m just spitballing, of course.) Whatever the case, I’m pretty sure my MacBook Pro here just got new desktop wallpaper.

this picture makes me want Whitney to be a returning villain for the episode... yes, still alive after being killed in Iraq. It would fit so well, given he 'crowed Clark way back in the first episode.

I think you mean Indonesia. :)
That's where he died. 1000s of miles away from Iraq. Not too many people shrug off two artillery shells after all.

Why they had him in Indonesia, I don't know. The Marines are not Navy Seals...
They do not have covert missions like that...

As for Lois's extra hot time, who knows who tied her up.

'Lazarus' AOL Synopsis:

Lois finds Clark's body and removes the blue kryptonite; Chloe is desperate to find Oliver; Jonathan returns to the Kent Farm with a message for Clark; Tess awakens in LuthorCorp lab.

See Clark heals himself. When Tom said Clark has a little help from someone he's very close to he was referring to Lois not to Jonathan, so I don't think Jonathan is going to do anything other than talk to him.

^^ Yep, he will talk to Jonathan while he's healing, so is going to be like a dream-like experience.

See? They remove the dagger so he doesn't really die.

How would removing the dagger help?

Wouldn't he have splattered all over the pavement? ........He was powerless when he fell from the building.

But if the portal is still open wouldnt taking the dagger out make Clark follow the rest of his people through it?

So should we chalk this up to continuity failure? Last minute retcon? Writers hoping the viewer wouldn't remember the portal? Or does the script not call for the portal to open again or Clark to go splat once he hits the ground, therefore making all of the speculation from the past few months pointless?:oldrazz:

Taking the dagger out would just make him go back out the portal as Jason said. They should have just had him remove the dagger as he fell, then when the portal started to lift him up past the book of Rao, he flies/reaches for the key and pulls it out. This way all the other issues are solved and we get a split second of flight, like the Season 5 premiere.

Possible. The way jonathan Kent returns is a big mystery, expecially if he may speak to other people as the season progress. Some people say that he may be a manifestation of DarkSeid. Interesting idea but I doubt that he would push Clark to become a hero. So what if
Jonathan was in fact an incarnation of Highfather, trying to help Clark. Knowing that Highfather is the opposite of DarkSeid, I can see DarkSeid appearing in the form of Jonathan opposite in smallville, the manificent bastard that is supposed to be back later in the season... Lionel Luthor

^^ Excellent theory, Darkseid is not going to inspire Clark, that's for sure.

Maybe the portal closes before the dagger is removed, or maybe the key opening the portal is taken or falls out of its key hole. Lots of simple ways to cover that.

If we are going to nitpick, lets start with the comics. Superman should be dead by now, but that's how the business works, if they need the character to stay alive even when "logic" says he shouldn't, he will and keep the story (and sales) moving forward.

Awesome.

Why is it that it's the 4th of September, we have like, what?, 20 days left & still no full season 10 trailer?.

Steve

Because, even though this is the tenth and final season, The CW only barely gives a ****.

I dont understand they had an encore of Salvation but they show a trailer for Vampire Diaries instead of Smallville.

Logic isn't exactly the CW's strong suit.

They're gonna show a trailer probably a week before the premiere. And we'll be lucky if we get even that with their mentality.

Yeah like that will get people hyped. Seriously, you'd think that for a show heading into it's last season, there would be some coverage of it by the station. I mean look at Lost, I've never seen an episode, but I knew it was going to end just based on all of the commercials.

LOST was on ABC ,which is a bigger network compared to the CW .
